Ítem Acceso abierto Food practices and their relationship with obesity in students of the III cycle of the Institute's Nursing career Daniel Alcides Carrión, Lima - 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-04-17) Zarate Escriba, Estefany Rosy; Gonzales Saldaña, Susan HaydeeObjective: Determine how dietary practices are related to obesity in students of the III cycle of the Nursing degree at the Daniel Alcides Carrión Institute, Lima – 2023. Materials and methods: Hypothetical-deductive method, quantitative approach, correlational development, the study was carried out in a finite population, because the population was composed of 80 students, for which it was applied to the dice queue technique in this case or inquired. The instrument used was the Eating Self-Care Practices Questionnaire (PRAULI), which was initially used as an instrument of eating habits aimed at adolescents by author Javier Hidalgo Miguel A. with 11 dimensions, which was modified and adapted by Espinoza Espinoza Rosmery I. e Sánchez Almeyda Jessica J. considering this new three-dimensional version. Results: Eating practices and their relationship with obesity of the students of the III cycle of the Nursing degree at the Daniel Alcides Institute, it was found that the weight is normal with regular eating practices in 51.3%. Conclusions: Most of the practices were regular eating practices with the presence of normal weight in 51.3%, Therefore, we must accept the hypothesis that there is a statistically significant relationship between eating practices and obesity in students of the III cycle of the nursing career at the Daniel Alcides Carrión Institute, Lima 2023.
