Publicación Acceso abierto Plantas medicinales en el tratamiento de enfermedades respiratorias en usuarios que acuden al mercado Unicachi del distrito de Comas, Lima 2024- 2025(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2025-04-15) Zelada Mejía, Jhazmin Margiory; Ñañez del Pino, DanielThe present work was proposed with the objective: "To determine the characteristics of the use of medicinal plants in the treatment of respiratory diseases in users who attend the Unicachi market in the district of Comas, Lima Peru 2024-2025". Methodology: Basic type; non experimental observational design, deductive method; the sample was 380 users of the Unicachi market. A survey consisting of 22 questions was applied. Results: it was found that the most used plants were eucalyptus 62.8% and borage 25.5%; the most used part of the plant were the leaves 88.3%, these were used for their decongestant, anti-inflammatory and antitussive properties. The form of use was infusion and inhalation with a frequency of use of 2 times a day 40.6% and the duration time was 3-4 days 66.9%. In addition, it was known that it is used in the common cold 64.06% and the signs and symptoms most frequently were nasal congestion 49.22%. Conclusion: eucalyptus and borage prepared in infusion are the most used plants in the users of the Unicachi market, for being decongestant, anti-inflammatory and antitussive which is used for the common cold improving symptoms such as nasal congestion.
