    Telephone follow-up as a care strategy for patients with heart disease

    Objective: To systematically analyze the evidence on phone follow-up as a care strategy for patients with heart disease. Material and Method: Ten scientific articles studying the effectiveness of phone follow-up in patients with heart disease were examined. These articles were analyzed using the GRADE scale, with data sources from Epistemonikos, PubMed, Medline, and Cochrane to assess the strength and quality of the evidence. All 10 articles reviewed (100%) were systematic reviews. Results: 80% of them (8/10) demonstrate the effectiveness of phone follow-up in patients with heart disease. Conclusions: Of all the articles examined, 80% (8/10) show the effectiveness of phone follow-up in patients with some form of heart disease.
