    In the present research, the general objective was to determine the relationship between the perception of teaching competence and the quality of teaching in Dentistry students at a university in Huancayo, 2023. The instrument used for the information collection process was the questionnaire for each of the variables: perception of teaching competence (Morazán 2013) and teaching quality (Plasencia 2017), which factor analysis was applied for validation, likewise, its reliability was determined where it indicates excellent reliability for both variables. It is an investigation of the hypothetical - deductive method, with a quantitative approach of the correlational type, with a non-experimental design, applied to a sample of 91 students enrolled in the Human Anatomy, Preventive I, II and adult clinical courses at the Professional School of Dentistry. from a university in Huancayo. Finally, it is concluded by indicating that the perception of teaching competence is significantly related to the quality of teaching in Dentistry students at a university in Huancayo, 2023.
