Objective: Determine the association between the triglyceride-glucose index and obesity in workers of an occupational center. Hypothesis: There is a significant association between the triglyceride-glucose index and obesity in patients of an occupational center. Methodology: The study is oriented towards a deductive approach within the scientific method; it is quantitative, with an observational design and an analytical -cross-sectional analytical, cross-sectional, retrospective. Results: There is a statistically significant association between the TyG index and a BMI greater than or equal to 30 Kg/m^2 in workers of an occupational center. (OR: 1.88; CI 95% 1.10 – 3.19; p=0.020), there is a statistically significant association between the TyG index and ICA ≥ 0.5 in workers of an occupational center. (OR: 3.34; CI 95% 1.76 – 6.92; p=0.012), there is a statistically significant association between the TyG index and CAJIS in workers of an occupational center. (OR: 1.81; CI 95% 1.14 – 2.86; p<0.001), there is a statistically significant association between the TyG index and CA-ATPIII in workers of an occupational center. (OR: 4.50; CI 95% 2.68 – 7.60; p<0.001)
