Application of biosecurity measures and occupational accidents in emergency service nurses in a national hospital, Lima - 2024

Introduction: Ensuring the integrity and comfort of nursing professionals in emergency situations is essential to ensure that medical care is of high quality and to protect both the health of patients and the workers themselves. With this purpose in mind, this research has the following objective: "To determine the relationship between the application of biosafety measures and occupational accidents among nurses in the emergency department of a national hospital in Lima in the year 2024". Methodology: This study is framed in an applied methodology, adopting a nonexperimental, correlational and cross-sectional design. The study population will consist of 80 nurses and the information will be collected through the survey technique, using questionnaires validated by expert judgment. The instruments selected to assess the variables of interest were adapted and validated by Casabona in 2021 and Barreto et al. in 2023. These questionnaires address specific dimensions. The reliability for the variable "Application of biosafety measures" was Cronbach's Alpha = 0.79. For the variable "Occupational accidents in nurses" a reliability coefficient of 0.836 was obtained according to Cronbach's Alpha. The data collection will be processed in a double-entry matrix created in Excel and the analysis will be carried out using SPSS software version 26.0. The results will be presented in a clear manner by presenting tables and/or graphs and finally the correlation between both variables will be sought to be established, using descriptive and inferential statistics, as appropriate.

Biosafety standards and work accidents in nurses in the surgical center area of a hospital in Lima - 2023

This research aims to: Analyze the relationship between biosafety standards and work accidents in nurses in the surgical center area of a Hospital to Lima-2023. The methodology: hypothetical deductive method, non-experimental design, quantitative approach, descriptive, applied, correlational, cross-sectional; The sample will be made up of 25 nursing professionals, the sample being census-type. , the instruments that will be used for the research work will be the Knowledge of Biosafety Standards questionnaire and Work Accidents Sheet, which are already validated; both instruments have a high level of statistical reliability (0.75 in Cronbach's alpha), for the collection of information it will last approximately 30 minutes, for each participant, for the analysis and interpretation tables, graphs will be used . Likewise, to contract the hypothesis, the Spearman Test will be used as a statistical estimate, with a confidence level of 95%, an error of 5%, which will be reflected in the contingency table of both variables.

Conocimiento sobre las medidas de bioseguridad y accidentes laborales en el personal de enfermería en la central de esterilización de un hospital público de Jaén, 2024

Este estudio se propuso porque el equipo de enfermería del área de esterilización está expuesto de forma continua a diversos peligros laborales y necesita adoptar medidas de bioseguridad, en este sentido se persigue como Objetivo General: Determinar cómo se relacionan el conocimiento sobre las medidas de bioseguridad con los accidentes laborales en el personal de enfermería en la central de esterilización de un Hospital Público de Jaén, 2024. Método: Se llevará un estudio deductivo, hipotética, cuantitativa, no experimental, transversal y correlacional. El grupo estará compuesto por 80 enfermeras que trabajan en la Unidad Central de Esterilización de un hospital público de Jaén Para cada variable de investigación se empleó tanto una encuesta como un cuestionario. Este trabajo aplicó los instrumentos de manera exitosa, validado por tres juicios de expertos, y encontró un coeficiente V de Aiken de 0,905 para la variable V1 y 0,889 para la variable 2. La confiabilidad utilizando una prueba piloto de 20 personas, seguida del método del coeficiente alfa de Cronbach; la variable 1 presenta una puntuación de 0.89 y para la variable 2 recibe 0.84, respectivamente. Al final, el coeficiente de Spearman se emplea para medir la intensidad de la conexión entre las dos variables, lo que permitirá alcanzar el objetivo establecido.

Metodología: el trabajo utiliza el método hipotético deductivo, es cuantitativo, no experimental, la población estará integrado por el equipo de salud que labora en el área de centro quirúrgico del hospital objeto de estudio conformado por 80 elementos de estudio, se aplicaran como técnica la encuesta y el análisis documental y como instrumento el cuestionario y la ficha de registro, los instrumentos tienen validez y confiabilidad adquirida en otros trabajos en el contexto peruano de Vivanco y Medrano, posterior a la recolección de datos se procesaran los datos en una base de datos Excel para luego ser analizados a través del programa SPSS, los resultados se presentaran en tablas y gráficos, durante todo el proceso de investigación se cumplirá con los principios éticos

Conocimiento sobre riesgos biológicos y accidentes laborales en los profesionales de enfermería en sala de operaciones de una clínica privada, Lima 2024

La investigación tiene como objetivo el poder determinar el nivel de relación entre las variables conocimiento de enfermería sobre los riesgos biológicos y los accidentes laborales, dentro del servicio de sala de operaciones, en el caso de la metodología el estudio es de naturaleza cuantitativa, de tipo aplicada y el diseño no experimental, en donde la población y muestra serán 80 profesionales de enfermería, que participarán a través de la técnica de la encuesta con el uso de un cuestionario para cada variable los cuales son de autor con una validez por juicio de expertos y la confiabilidad respectiva, con lo cual se recolectará la información requerida en el estudio para medir las variables, ello estructurado en una base de datos elaborada en Excel, la cual será analizada estadísticamente por el programa SPSS 25.0 el cual brindará resultados que serán interpretados tanto a nivel descriptivo como inferencial, para poder brindar las conclusiones del estudio.

Effectiveness of training to improve the safety and health of workers

Objective: Systematize evidence on the effectiveness of training to improve the safety and health of workers. Materials and methods: Systematic review of 10 articles extracted from the database: Epistemonikos, Pubmed, NCBI and Cochrane. 80% systematic reviews, 10% randomized controlled trial and 10% cohort study; 60% come from the USA, 20% from Canada, 10% from Italy and 10% from Europe. The GRADE system was carried out, quality of evidence 90% high and 10% moderate, strength of evidence 90% strong and 10% weak. Results: The majority of the articles evidenced the effectiveness of the training to improve the safety and health of workers and the rest indicated that further research is required to determine the mechanism of action of the safety and health interventions, and simultaneously evaluate the worker well-being and the applicability of occupational health and safety. Conclusions: Training favors the acquisition of greater knowledge and the commitment to adopt safe practices in the execution of tasks. In summary, it trains to avoid or act in the event of dangerous incidents and work accidents; Consequently, it guarantees the self-management of the safety and health of workers in their workplace.

Ergonomic risks and the presence of musculoskeletal disorders in the emergency nursing staff of the General Hospital of Jaen, Cajamarca 2023

Introduction: the most frequent cause of disability in nursing personnel are musculoskeletal disorders, which have a considerable impact on their ability to perform their usual work activities and are associated with intense pain and loss of physical functions. Objective: to determine how ergonomic risks are related to the presence of musculoskeletal disorders in emergency nurses in a hospital General in Jaen, Cajamarca 2023. Material and methods: the study uses the hypothetico-deductive method, is quantitative in approach, an applied observational or non-experimental research, correlational in scope and cross-sectional. The population and census sample will be all the nursing personnel working in the emergency Department of a general hospital in Jaen, amounting to 80 workers. The technique will be the survey and the adapted, validated and reliable instrument to be used will be the modified ERGOPAR Questionnaire. The data collected will be processed and analyzed in SPSS 26 using the CHI CUDRADO test to determine the association of the variables.

Factores de riesgo y accidentes laborales del personal de enfermería en sala de operaciones de un hospital de Lima 2024

El estudio se desarrolló con el propósito de determinar la relación que existe entre los factores de riesgo y los accidentes laborales del personal de enfermería en sala de operaciones de un Hospital de Lima 2024. El estudio se realizará bajo el método hipotético – deductivo, con un enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo básica, diseño no experimental y de nivel correlacional. La muestra será censal de 100 profesionales de enfermería, se utilizará como4 instrumento dos cuestionarios para evaluar los factores de riesgo del autor Valverde y otro para medir los accidentes laborales del personal de enfermería del autor Maylle, los cuales cuentan con validez y confiabilidad. Los datos serán analizados utilizando el software SPSS versión 27. En este proceso, la información será presentada a través de tablas y gráficos, acompañada por un análisis inferencial. Para evaluar la normalidad de los datos, se empleará la prueba de Kolmogorov-Smirnov, y según el patrón de distribución obtenido, se aplicará la prueba Rho de Spearman o la correlación de Pearson para determinar la relación entre las variables.

Factores de riesgo y accidentes laborales del personal de salud en el servicio centro quirúrgico del hospital Marino Molina Scippa, Lima 2023

El presente trabajo de investigación se llevó a cabo con el objetivo de “Determinar la relación entre los factores de riesgo y accidentes laborales del personal de salud, en el servicio centro quirúrgico del Hospital Marino Molina Scippa, Lima 2023”. La Metodología que se utilizó es hipotético-deductivo, de enfoque cuantitativo, el tipo de investigación es aplicada, de alcance correlacional; además el diseño es transversal y no experimental. La técnica de recolección de datos fue encuesta, y se emplearon dos cuestionarios como instrumentos que han sido validados previamente; en cuanto a la variable factores de riesgo se incluirán a 5 dimensiones y 17 ítems; en caso de la variable accidentes laborales se consideraron 3 dimensiones con un total de 25 ítems. El análisis de datos se realizó por medio de la aplicación del programa SPSS Statistics 26. Resultados Para la prueba de hipótesis se aplicó la prueba Chi cuadrada (X2). Además, el 74.5% presento algún factor de riesgo; sin embargo, el 25.5% refirió no presentar ningún tipo de factor. Asimismo, el 16.4% es poco frecuente, mientras que el 65.5% es regularmente frecuente, y por último solo el 18.2% refirió que los accidentes son muy frecuentes. Por último, existe relación significativa entre los factores de riesgo y accidentes laborales del personal de salud (p<0.05). Llegando a la Conclusión que existe relación significativa entre los factores de riesgo y accidentes laborales del personal de salud.

El objetivo de esta investigación es determinar la relación entre los factores de riesgo y los accidentes laborales en el área de emergencia de un hospital nacional de Lima, con el fin de identificar los elementos que afectan la seguridad y salud del personal de enfermería, y así proponer estrategias de intervención para reducir dichos riesgos. La investigación adoptará un enfoque cuantitativo, el tipo de investigación es aplicada, con un diseño no experimental, corte transversal y de nivel correlacional. La población está conformada por 80 enfermeros que laboran en el servicio de emergencias del hospital, y se utilizará una muestra censal. El instrumento a emplear incluye la encuesta para la recolección de datos cuantitativos sobre la frecuencia de accidentes laborales y la exposición a factores de riesgo. Los datos serán analizados mediante estadísticas descriptivas y análisis correlacional para identificar la relación entre los factores de riesgo y los accidentes laborales. Este estudio contribuirá a la mejora de la seguridad en el trabajo y la salud de los enfermeros, optimizando y mejorando la calidad del servicio de emergencia.

Factors that determine occupational accidents in cleaning workers of a national hospital in Lima in the years 2013-2019.

ABSTRACT OF THE WORK (Maximum 200 words and in Spanish) Objective: To determine the factors that cause occupational accidents in cleaning workers of a National Hospital in Lima in the years 2013-2019. Materials and methods: descriptive approach study, observational cross-sectional methodological design, reports of occupational accidents from 2013 to 2019 were reviewed, being a total of 1274 notifications of non-fatal occupational accidents, they increased in the first years in the periods (2013 -2016) and in recent years they decreased (2017-2019). Results: Women 81% with an age of 40 to 49 years of age (33%), type of accidents collision and blows against objects (31%), sharp material (24%), falls at the same level (23%) and the affected part of the cleaning workers who suffered the accidents occurred in the upper and lower limbs (arms, forearms, hands, hips, thighs, legs and feet). Conclusions: The factors that influenced the incidence of occupational accidents in cleaning workers were determined.

Objective: To determine the knowledge about biosafety and its relationship with occupational accidents in polyclinic workers. Materials and methods: it is a quantitative study with a hypothetical deductive method, with a cross-sectional correlational scope. The study population of 80 workers from the polyclinic under study will be formed, a census sample will be used according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The information will be collected through the survey and the documentary analysis using the questionnaire and the data capture form as instruments, instruments with validity and reliability in the context of Peru; On the other hand, the hypotheses will be answered, quantitative measurements and statistical analyzes will be made to determine the relationship between the variables through descriptive and inferential statistics, and the hypotheses will be verified with the RHO test of Spermam. Throughout the investigation, conduct research in accordance with ethical principles.

Objective: To determine the relationship between occupational risk factors and accidents in the nursing staff of the Central Military Hospital. Lima, 2021 Material and method: The research responds to the hypothetical-deductive method, has a quantitative approach, is applied, descriptive correlational, the population that constitutes it makes a total of 132 nursing personnel who work in the different critical area services of the Central Military Hospital of Lima, the survey and questionnaire technique were used to collect data related to the cause-effect relationship of the study. For instrument 1. Occupational accident, its reliability is high (0.814), for instrument 2. Occupational risk factors, its reliability is also high (0.837), its content validity was made and it was submitted to expert judgment. Data processing was done using the Microsoft Excel 2019 program, to be exported and processed for analysis using descriptive and inferential statistics. To evaluate the correlation of the variables, the statistical test of the Rho Spearman coefficient was used.

Objective: Determine how knowledge of occupational risk factors is related to work accidents among nurses. Methods: It presents a quantitative methodology, hypothetical - deductive method, applied in a cut-off manner, a census sample made up of 90 nurses from the PNP Luis N. Sáenz Hospital Complex will be taken. The instruments to be used will be the Occupational Risk Factors Questionnaire created by Escobar and Vargas in 2017 and the Occupational Accidents questionnaire, prepared and executed by: Flores in 2016 and modified by Maylle in 2019. The data collected will be processed with the Rho Sperman test and these results will be presented in tables and figures.

The International Labour Organization mentions that occupational diseases and work accidents have a significant impact on individuals and their families. These effects are reflected in their emotional and physical well-being both in the short and long term, as well as from an economic perspective. On the other hand, it negatively affects the company due to the loss of productivity from the absence of a worker, hindering competitiveness and affecting the company's reputation. The objective of this research was to determine the relationship between occupational risk factors and work accidents among employees of the construction company V Capital at the Santa Leonor project. The research applied a hypothetical-deductive method, with a quantitative approach, applied type, and non-experimental design. The sample includes the entire population of 120 workers employed in the Santa Leonor project. The questionnaire technique will be used to obtain direct or primary information about the risk factors associated with work accidents at the Santa Leonor construction site. Two instruments will be applied: one to evaluate the first variable, a questionnaire aimed at describing the risk factors related to work accidents, and the second instrument, a questionnaire, will help evaluate the second variable, which concerns work accidents, in the research.

Personal factors and their relationship with the occurrence of sharp-edged accidents of the nursing staff of the Hipólito Unanue Lima hospital, 2022

Objective: To analyze the relationship of personal factors with the occurrence of sharp-edged accidents in the nursing staff of the Hipólito Unanue Lima Hospital, 2022. Materials and methods: The work has a quantitative approach, the methodological design is descriptive and cross-sectional. The study has non-probabilistic sampling, census-based, where 55 nursing personnel from the Hipolito Unanue Hospital were selected as a sample. Results. The relationship of personal factors in their age dimension, there is low risk in 65.5% but with high risk in the occurrence of sharp-edged accidents, they are related in 59%. The relationship of personal factors in its occupation dimension, there is low risk in 69.1% but with high risk with the occurrence of sharp-edged accidents, 77% are related. Personal factors in their service time dimension, there is low risk in 49.1% but with high risk with the occurrence of sharp-edged accidents, they are related in 71%. The relationship of personal factors in their workload dimension, have high risk in 63.6% but with high risk with the occurrence of sharp-edged accidents, both are related in 82%. The relationship of personal factors in its dimension self-care measures, have high risk in 63.6% but with high risk with the occurrence of sharp-edged accidents, both are related in 75%. The relationship of personal factors with the occurrence of sharp-edged accidents, where personal factor, has low risk in 43.6% but with high risk with the occurrence of sharp-edged accidents, both are related in 90%.

Physical risks and their relationship with the health of nursing staff who work in the sterilization center in an EsSalud hospital, 2022

The objective of this research study will be: To determine the relationship between physical risks and the health of nursing staff of the sterilization center of the Marino Molina Scippa Hospital in Comas 2023. The method to be used in this study will be hypothetical – deductive, it will be a study of quantitative approach, non-experimental design, correlational scope. The data will be collected through the survey technique and observation, the population will be made up of 43 nursing staff of the Molina Scippa Marine Hospital, will use a collection instrument for physical risks and a questionnaire to identify the dangers faced to the health of the personnel prepared by Rocío Vargas in the year 2022. Once the data is obtained, it will be tabulated, transferred to Excel, where SPSS software version 22.0 will be used. Subsequently, a descriptive and inferential analysis will be carried out based on the hypotheses raised.

Work environment and its relationship with job performance in workers of a public institution, Huánuco – 2022

In 2021, 234 cases of workers with occupational diseases were reported in Peru, while 214 fatal accidents and 27,767 work accidents were reported (5); which is likely due to different risk factors found in the work environment and its influence on the worker's work performance. Understanding the particularities of the work environment and its relationship with the worker will help implement policies for the prevention of occupational diseases and accidents, as well as the promotion of healthy lifestyles at work (6). Its objective is to determine the relationship that exists between the work environment and the work performance of the workers of the public institution - Huánuco. Having as a design: correlational type of research, transversal descriptive type, deductive method, with a quantitative approach, research design is non-experimental. Which will take place in the public institution Huánuco-Peru. With a total of 100 workers who simultaneously represent the study sample. To collect the data, the questionnaires from the worker's work environment scale - WEIS will be applied and at the same time the results of the evaluation of the workers' work performance, which is carried out monthly, evaluating their transversal competencies, will be received. To carry out the data analysis, a matrix will be created in Microsoft Excel 2013 where the data that will be extracted will be poured into. To carry out the statistical analysis of the data, the frequency distribution will be used, calculating measures of central tendency, such as median, mean and percentages, measures of dispersion, in the same way the range and standard deviation in quantitative variables.
