Ítem Acceso abierto Effects of intradialytic parenteral nutrition on serum albumin in adult patients with chronic kidney disease in hemodialysis(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-02-15) Cruz Carreño, Maria Isabel; Ponce Castillo, Diana AntoniaIntradialytic parenteral nutrition has been shown to improve nutritional status. This supplementary review called: EFFECTS OF INTRADIALYTIC PARENTERAL NUTRITION ON SERUM ALBUMIN IN ADULTS WITH CKD IN HEMODIALYSIS, has the purpose of recognizing the validity of intradialytic parenteral nutritional intervention in dialysates with Protein-Energy Depletion (PED). The clinical question was: What is the effect of intradialytic parenteral nutrition on serum albumin in adults with CKD on hemodialysis? The Evidence-Based Nutrition (NuBE) method was used. This documentation review began in PUBMED, MEDLINE, SCIELO, SCOPUS, SCIENCE DIRECT, locating 28 articles, 10 of which were designated and verified through the CASPE critical reading mechanism, ultimately detecting the prospective cohort study called MANEJO DIETARY OF PATIENTS ON HEMODIALYSIS WITH CKD AND MALNUTRITION, which offers a measure of AI evidence and a degree of Recommendation Strong, in line with the researcher's career. The critical point is that patients with Protein Energy Wasting undergoing hemodialysis should be treated with recommended first-line treatments, including dietary advice and enteral supplements. Current studies have significant limitations, and more research is needed to demonstrate improved outcomes with the use of NPID compared to other treatment options. This suggests that the effectiveness of IDPN remains uncertain and requires more rigorous research to conclusively establish its effectiveness. Therefore, it would be reasonable to exercise caution when considering NPID as a treatment option until more definitive evidence is available.Ítem Acceso abierto Laboratory results of coronary risk and its relationship with biochemical indicators in hepatic clinical histories at the National Perinatal National Institute from December 2016 to July 2018(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-08-01) Reyes Moreno, Gustavo Andre; Sandoval Vegas, Miguel HernánThe studied biochemical liver indicators include Glutamic-Pyruvic Transaminase (GPT), Glutamic-Oxaloacetic Transaminase (GOT), total proteins, and albumin, which are commonly used to give a prognosis of liver damage in a person. The objective of this work was to evaluate the relationship between laboratory results for coronary risk and biochemical liver indicators in medical records of patients over 18 years of age at the National Maternal Perinatal Institute, from December 2016 to July 2018, through a descriptive cross-sectional study. Both variables were related using the percentage of cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk with the help of the Framingham table by category, dividing medical records into risk percentage groups of 1%, 2%, 3%, 4%, 5%, and 6% and above, showing that 13.5% of the studied population had moderate risk. High levels of triglycerides were found to be related to the coronary risk group, as well as total cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, and LDL cholesterol. However, when comparing biochemical liver indicators with the CVD risk level, GOT levels did not show a significant statistical relationship, nor did GPT and albumin. Consequently, there was no relationship found between coronary risk laboratory results and biochemical liver indicators.
