"Chuillur" en ratones(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-09-18) Picho Hurtado, Katheryn Elizabeth; Chávez Flores, Juana ElviraThe investigation was carried out on the plant species Vallea stipularis L.f. “Chuillur,” located in the district of Tamburco-Abancay-Apurímac, traditionally used by the local population as medicine for the treatment of scurvy, as a cicatrizant, for gastritis, rheumatism, drastic purgative, and analgesic. Objective: To verify the analgesic activity of the ethanolic extract of the root of Vallea stipularis L.f. “Chuillur” in mice. Methods: The method of abdominal writhing induced by 0.8% acetic acid was employed. Forty-nine albino mice of the species Mus musculus strain Balb/C53/CNPB, of both sexes, were randomly distributed into seven groups. Ethanolic extracts at doses of 50, 100, and 200 mg/kg were used, as well as the standards Paracetamol Q.P. 300 mg/kg and Tramadol Hydrochloride Q.P. 40 mg/kg. These were administered orally, and 30 minutes later, 0.8% acetic acid was administered intraperitoneally. The animals were immediately observed for 20 minutes. Results: All groups showed a significant reduction (p value = 0.000), obtaining differentiated analgesic effects. The maximum effect was achieved with the 200 mg/kg extract, with 70% inhibition, surpassing Paracetamol (55%). In the present work, the analgesic activity of the ethanolic extract of the shells of the seeds of Persea americana Mill “Strong Avocado” was verified in albino mice. With the method of Koster et al Modified of writhings induced by 0.6% glacial acetic acid used as a writhing stimulant, the concentrations evaluated were 50, 100 and 200 mg / kg, of extract of the shells of the seeds Persea americana Mill “Strong Avocado”, compared with Tramadol 40 mg / kg and acetylsalicylic acid 200 mg / kg. The root was macerated for 7 days in 70% ethanol. Solubility and qualitative analyses were performed, and the extract was determined to be soluble in polar solvents and to contain flavonoids and alkaloids. To determine the analgesic activity, the 0.8% glacial acetic acid-induced abdominal writhing model was used on 49 Balbin/C53/CNPB strain mice. The groups were a negative control (distilled water), a positive control (0.8% acetic acid), the ethanolic extract at 25, 50, and 100 mg/kg, and comparative standards of paracetamol (300 mg/kg) and tramadol (40 mg/kg). To determine the anti-inflammatory effect, the subplantar edema method was used, with dexamethasone (4 mg/kg) and diclofenac (50 mg/kg) as standard drugs. The evaluation of the extract's analgesic activity showed an effective dose of 100 mg/kg with 69% writhing inhibition. The anti-inflammatory activity was effective at a dose of 25 mg/kg, with an inhibition percentage evolving from 56% to 99% over a six-hour period.Publicación Acceso abierto Actividad analgésica y antiinflamatoria del extracto etanólico de las flores de Bidens andicola H.B.K. For the analgesic activity, the modified Koster et al. model was employed, and the study groups were: negative control (distilled water), positive control (0.8% glacial acetic acid), ethanolic extract of Bidens andicola H.B.K. “quiquo” flowers at 50, 100, and 200 mg/kg, paracetamol 300 mg/kg, and tramadol 40 mg/kg. For the anti-inflammatory activity, the plantar edema method with 1% albumin was used, and the groups were: negative control (distilled water), ibuprofen 400 mg/kg, dexamethasone 1 mg/kg, and the ethanolic extract at 200, 400, and 600 mg/kg. The results show that the ethanolic extract of Bidens andicola H.B.K. “quiquo” flowers at 100 mg/kg (65%) and 200 mg/kg (70%) exhibits analgesic activity, lower than tramadol (91%) but comparable to paracetamol (81%). Regarding the anti-inflammatory activity, the ethanolic extract at 200, 400, and 600 mg/kg demonstrated efficacy, with the 600 mg/kg dose showing the greatest anti-inflammatory effect (100%), similar to dexamethasone and ibuprofen. This study aimed to evaluate the analgesic and anti-inflammatory activity of the hydroalcoholic extract from the leaves of Passiflora edulis Sims. Methodology: A total of 56 Holtzmann strain rats of different sexes were used for the evaluation of inflammation. The rats were divided into 8 groups of seven animals. Inflammation was induced using the 0.1 mL albumin-induced plantar edema method, and the plantar volume was measured with a plethysmometer every hour for 6 hours. For the analgesic activity evaluation, the 0.8% acetic acid-induced abdominal writhing method was employed. A total of 49 Mus musculus strain mice of different sexes were divided into 7 groups of seven animals. The number of abdominal writhes was individually quantified over a 20-minute period. Results and Conclusion: The results demonstrated anti-inflammatory activity, as the 800 mg/kg hydroalcoholic extract inhibited the development of plantar edema with an effect of 100% within one hour of application, comparable to 4 mg of dexamethasone. Don.) Crisci “Churoq wasin”. For the analgesic activity, the model of abdominal writhing induced by 0.8% acetic acid was employed; 49 mice were used, and the evaluated groups were: negative control (distilled water), positive control (0.8% acetic acid), hydroalcoholic extract at 50, 100 and 200 mg/kg, compared with paracetamol 300 mg/kg and tramadol 40 mg/kg. For the anti-inflammatory effect, the auricular edema method was used with an irritant agent (6% xylene diluted in acetone) applied to the mouse auricle. A total of 49 albino mice were used, and the study groups were: vaseline cream, creams prepared with the hydroalcoholic extract at 0.5, 1 and 2%, compared with diclofenac 1% cream and hydrocortisone 1% cream. The results show that the hydroalcoholic extract of leaves and stems of Leucheria daucifolia (D. Don.) Crisci “Churoq wasin” at a dose of 100 mg/kg presents analgesic activity with an inhibition percentage of writhing of 62%, not surpassing tramadol (86%) but comparable to paracetamol (76%). Regarding anti-inflammatory activity, the cream with 2% extract presented an inhibition percentage of inflammation of 48.7%, which is comparable to hydrocortisone 1% and diclofenac 1%. Método. El estudio fue de tipo básico, diseño no experimental, método hipotético deductivo, corte transversal, alcance descriptivo correlacional, enfoque cuantitativo, muestra 186 personas, muestreo probabilístico aleatorio simple, se recolectó los datos mediante encuesta con uso de un cuestionario, se empleó Rho de Spearman para contrastar la hipótesis. Resultados. De 186 personas 60,8% fueron mujeres, 80,1% tuvieron edad entre 30-40 años. Información brindada por el Químico Farmacéutico; 50,5% recibió información sobre la enfermedad, 62,4% sobre el medicamento. Atención recibida del Químico Farmacéutico 76,9% recibió atención con calidad y calidez; 50,5% brindó instrucciones escritas. Percepción de la consejería farmacéutica 81,2% generó sensación de seguridad y bienestar; 77,4% ayudó a comprender mejor la enfermedad y la terapia. Localización del dolor, 67,2% presentó dolor de cabeza y entre 40% y 47,8% presentaron dolor a nivel cervical, hombros, columna, cadera, pies y rodilla. Interrupción de actividades 40,9% presentó ausentismo laboral; entre 53,2% y 63,4% presentaron disminución de producción laboral, quehaceres en el hogar e interrupción de horas de sueño. Farmacoterapia del dolor musculoesquelético 55,4% emplearon antiinflamatorios no esteroideos; 16,1% anticonvulsivantes; entre 45,2% y 57% usaron tramadol, relajantes musculares y corticoides. Correlación Rho de Spearman fue -0,295 indicó correlación negativa baja. Conclusión. La consejería farmacéutica tuvo correlación negativa baja con el tratamiento del dolor musculoesquelético en personas adultas que acuden a una botica del distrito Breña, 2023.Publicación Acceso abierto Dolor musculoesquelético y su relación con el tratamiento analgésico más coadyuvantes en adultos mayores de 50 años en una botica, Distrito San Luis, Lima Perú – 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-07-04) Tarazona Silverio, Benancio Iván; Victorio Patricio, Rosmeri Yorela; Bustamante Fustamante, Flor LidiaThe objective was: To determine the relationship between analgesic treatment plus adjuvants and musculoskeletal pain in adults over 50 years old at a pharmacy in the district of San Luis, 2023. The study employed a hypothetical-deductive method, basic research. The sample consisted of 208 individuals. A survey and questionnaire were used to collect data, and the hypothesis was tested using Spearman’s Rho correlation. Results: Of the 208 individuals, 79.8% were between 50 and 67 years old, 56.3% were female, and 44.7% were married. Pain intensity was reported as moderate in 37%, mild in 32.1%, and intense in 19%. Regarding the impact of pain, interference was observed in 49.5% of daily activities, 50.5% of social activities, and 28.4% of work productivity. Pain was located in: 70.2% hands; 73.5% arms and shoulders; 54.1% cervical and back; 56.7% head; 53.8% spine and hips; 67.4% feet; 22.65% ankles or knees; 54.8% calves or legs. Use of non-steroidal analgesics: 29.8% metamizole or piroxicam; 86.5% ketorolac, diclofenac, or paracetamol; 73.6% naproxen or ibuprofen; 23.6% celecoxib or etoricoxib. Use of analgesic adjuvants: 39.9% gabapentin; 40.4% amitriptyline; 38.9% sertraline; 45.2% clonazepam. Effects from analgesic use: 87% experienced pain relief; 69.7% took the indicated dose; 59.1% followed the administration schedule; 53.8% never had digestive discomfort; 55.3% never experienced dizziness or drowsiness. Conclusion: There is a low positive correlation between analgesic treatment plus adjuvants and musculoskeletal pain in adults over 50 years old at a pharmacy in the district of San Luis, 2023.Publicación Acceso abierto Efectividad de la musicoterapia para el manejo del dolor en el paciente sometido a una intervención quirúrgica(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 1905-07-08) Guzmán Moreno, Sisy CeciliaMaterial y métodos: Se aplicó el instrumento PICO y se realizó la búsqueda bibliográfica sistemática a través de buscadores reconocidos como LILACS, PubMED, ELSEIVER, etc. clasificándose la información mediante el uso de las plantillas Caspe y el nivel de evidencia y grado de recomendación por el sistema GRADE. Resultados: El 100% de los artículos muestra evidencia de la influencia positiva que ejerce la música en las diferentes etapas del peri operatorio, evidenciándose no solamente la disminución significativa del dolor sino también la disminución del nivel de ansiedad, 2 artículos encontrados evidenciaron pacientes con funciones vitales estables, disminución de la administración de analgésicos y anestésicos, aun cuando el paciente está bajo anestesia general. Conclusiones: La música puede ser usada e implementada como un método simple, seguro y eficaz de reducir las respuestas fisiológicas potencialmente perjudiciales ocasionados por el dolor en los pacientes durante el peri operatorio.Publicación Acceso abierto Efecto analgésico del extracto etanólico de las hojas de Annona muricata (guanábana) en ratones albinos(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-03-18) Nieto Inca, Roxana Maribel; Torres Veliz, Ernesto RaúlThe research was conducted on the species Annona muricata ("guanábana"), cultivated in the Ancash department. The Objective of this study was to determine the analgesic effect of the ethanolic extract from the leaves of Annona muricata "guanábana" in albino mice. Method: The Hot Plate method was employed, using 25 male Mus musculus Balb C53 strain albino mice randomly distributed into five groups of five mice each: Group I (0.9% saline solution), Group II (diclofenac 10 mg/kg body weight), Group III (tramadol 10 mg/kg body weight), and Groups IV and V (ethanolic extracts at doses of 400 and 600 mg/kg) administered via orogastric gavage. The baseline latency time was measured before subjecting the animals to the thermal stimulus, which was evaluated every 30 minutes for 2 hours. Results: An analgesic effect was evidenced at doses of 400 and 600 mg/kg, but the greatest effect was reached with the 600 mg/kg dose at 90 minutes. An analgesic effect was also observed at 60 minutes, with both doses surpassing tramadol. Conclusion: It is concluded that the ethanolic extract from the leaves of Annona muricata "guanábana" has an analgesic effect in albino mice.Publicación Acceso abierto Efecto antiinflamatorio y analgésico del extracto etanólico de la cáscara Inga feuillei DC. Objective: This study aims to demonstrate the anti-inflammatory and analgesic effect of the ethanolic extract from the peel of Inga feuillei DC, 'pacay,' in mice. Methods: To evaluate the anti-inflammatory effect, 42 rats were divided into 7 groups of 6, and the subplantar edema method described by Winter was used. To evaluate the analgesic effect, 42 mice were divided into 7 groups of 6, and the Koster et al. method was used. Results: The ethanolic extract from the 'pacay' peel showed its greatest analgesic effect at a concentration of 300 mg/kg (87.7%), surpassing the standards of Paracetamol 500 mg/kg (42.8%) and tramadol (86.4%). The greatest anti-inflammatory effect was at a concentration of 500 mg/kg (42.8%), an effect comparable to the standards of Ibuprofen 400 mg/kg and Dexamethasone 4mg/kg. Webb & Berthel (mallow) in mice. Methodology: To test the anti-inflammatory effect, the model of auricular edema inhibition induced with 0.6% xylene topically applied to the auricle in mice was used. Thirty-six mice were divided into 6 groups: Negative control, 1% diclofenac and hydrocortisone creams, and creams based on the hydroalcoholic extract (0.5, 1 and 2%). To test the analgesic effect, the model of abdominal contortions induced with 0.8% acetic acid in mice was used. The 6 groups of 6 mice were: Negative control, paracetamol 300 mg/kg, tramadol 50 mg/kg, and hydroalcoholic extract (100, 200 and 400 mg/kg). Finally, the percentage of atrial edema inhibition and the percentage of abdominal writhing inhibition were calculated. Results: The percentage of atrial edema inhibition was 57.6% in the 2% hydroalcoholic cream extract group, compared to the 1% diclofenac group (51.2%). The percentage of abdominal writhing inhibition was 85.8% in the 400 mg/kg hydroalcoholic extract group, compared to the 50 mg/kg tramadol group (85.6%), both administered orally. Conclusion: The hydroalcoholic extract of the leaves of Malva arborea L. Materials and Methods: A hydroalcoholic extract was obtained by maceration with 70% ethanol. The anti-inflammatory effect was assessed using the 1% albumin-induced subplantar edema method. The mice were divided into a Control Group, a diclofenac group (50 mg/kg), a dexamethasone group (4 mg/kg), and a hydroalcoholic extract group at doses of 50, 100, and 150 mg/kg. The analgesic effect was evaluated using the 0.8% glacial acetic acid-induced abdominal writhing model. The mice were divided into a Control Group, a paracetamol group (300 mg/kg), a tramadol group (40 mg/kg), and a hydroalcoholic extract group at doses of 50, 100, and 200 mg/kg. Results and Conclusion: The extract showed solubility in both ethanol and methanol. The qualitative phytochemical analysis revealed the presence of primary metabolites (carbohydrates and amino acids) and secondary metabolites (phenolic compounds, flavonoids, steroids and/or triterpenes, sesquiterpene lactones, quinones, and alkaloids). The study determined that the ideal dose for the anti-inflammatory effect was 100 mg/kg, with an effectiveness of 94%. The analgesic effect was confirmed at a dose of 100 mg/kg, showing a 75% effectiveness. In conclusion, the hydroalcoholic extract from the leaves of Rumex cuneifolius Campd. Rob. & Brettell, or "Ala de murciélago," were collected. To determine the analgesic activity, the 0.8% glacial acetic acid-induced abdominal writhing model was used. The plant extract was used at concentrations of 50, 100, and 200 mg/kg, with Paracetamol Q.P. 300 mg/kg and Tramadol 40 mg/kg as comparative standards. To determine the anti-inflammatory effect, the 1% albumin-induced plantar edema method was used. The study groups included a negative control, ibuprofen 400 mg/kg, dexamethasone 1 mg/kg, and three concentrations of the extract at doses of 200, 400, and 600 mg/kg. The treatment lasted 6 hours, with a measurement taken every hour. Results showed that the hydroalcoholic extract at doses of 50, 100, and 200 mg/kg demonstrated analgesic activity of 34.1%, 42.1%, and 76.2%, respectively. None of the doses were superior to tramadol (88.3%), but the 200 mg/kg concentration (76.2%) was comparable to paracetamol (80.38%). Regarding anti-inflammatory activity, the extract at all three doses (200, 400, and 600 mg/kg) showed an anti-inflammatory effect. The 600 mg/kg dose was the first treatment to return to its basal state (0% inflammation in 3h), followed by the 400 mg/kg dose, which took an additional hour to reach the same state (4h), a time similar to the comparative treatment dexamethasone 1mg/kg. Method: The study was observational, with an explanatory-analytical level and a clinical trial design. The sample consisted of 57 post-appendectomy patients in the surgery hospitalization service of the hospital. Pain was evaluated using the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS). Results: The interaction between Ketoprofen + Metamizole produced an average score of 2.64 on the VAS, while Metamizole alone scored 3.00. There was no significant difference in the efficacy of the treatments before and after their application (F=0.003 and p=0.957 > 0.05). Resultados: Según la revisión realizada seis de los estudios y básicamente revisiones sistemáticas (16,17,18,19,24,25) concuerdan respecto a la eficacia de la lactancia materna para disminuir el dolor en los recién nacidos, mientras tanto los autores de los artículos (Simonse Eva y col, IA Duro y col, Ribeiro L y col, Hernández A.) mantiene una posición en el sentido de que aún no hay evidencia científica suficiente respecto al efecto analgésico de la lactancia materna en el recién nacido. Conclusiones: Los 10 artículos revisados, el 60% (n=06/10) evidencian la Eficacia de la lactancia materna en el control del dolor del recién nacido, mientras tanto el 40% (n=04/10) expresa que no hay evidencia científica suficiente para recomendar la lactancia materna como una intervención efectiva para disminuir el dolor en recién nacido sometido a algún procedimiento doloroso. Method. Hypothetical-deductive, basic type, non-experimental design, correlational scope, cross-sectional, quantitative approach. The sample consisted of 208 people, using simple randomized probabilistic sampling. Data was collected through a survey and questionnaire. The hypothesis was tested using Spearman's Rho. Results. In demographic aspects, 56.3% were male, 38% were married, 33.2% were aged 36-45 years; 31.3% had difficulty sleeping and persistent sadness; 39.4% presented with headache and/or neck pain; 40.4% with back pain, 39.9% with shoulder and/or Arm pain, 32.2%; knee pain, 26.4%; hand pain; 22.1% used NSAIDs, 25.5% used tramadol, 32.2% used muscle relaxants; 50% practiced sports, 39.9% exercised for 30 minutes daily, 39.9% consumed fast food, 38.9% included vegetables and fruits in their diet; 30.8% consumed alcoholic beverages, 22.1% smoked cigarettes; 32.2% slept at least 7 hours daily, 39.9% used sleeping pills; 26.4% visited the doctor annually; 32.2% had rest periods in their daily routine, 40% spent time with friends and/or family, 14.9% went for walks or to the movies. A high positive correlation was observed. (rho=0.845) the p-value was 0.000. Conclusion. Berg "Capinuri" en ratones(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-12-03) Arzapalo Campos, Julissa; Castillo Jiménez, María Bertha; Chávez Flores, Juana ElviraThe objective of this research was to evaluate the analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect of the ethanolic extract from the leaves of Maquira coriacea (H. Karst.) C.C. Berg, 'Capinuri,' in mice. Methodology: A 'Solubility Test' and 'Preliminary Qualitative Analysis' were performed to identify the secondary metabolites present in the 'Capinuri' extract. To evaluate the 'Analgesic Effect,' the 0.8% acetic acid-induced abdominal writhing method was used. The extract was evaluated at concentrations of 50, 100, and 200 mg/kg, with tramadol (40 mg/kg) and acetaminophen (300 mg/kg) as standards. For the 'Anti-inflammatory Effect,' the 0.6% xylene-induced ear edema method was employed via topical administration. Creams formulated with the 'Capinuri' extract at 0.5, 1, and 2% were compared with Diclofenac 1% cream and Hydrocortisone 1% cream. Results: The analgesic effect at a dose of 200 mg/kg showed a 33% inhibition of abdominal writhes, which was below tramadol's (42%) but above acetaminophen's (23%). Regarding the anti-inflammatory effect, the 2% cream showed a 58.6% inhibition of inflammation in the right ear pinna of the mice, which was less than hydrocortisone's (84.8%) but similar to diclofenac's (50.3%). Conclusions: The ethanolic extract from the leaves of Maquira coriacea (H. Karst.) C.C. Berg, 'Capinuri,' showed both an analgesic and an anti-inflammatory effect in mice.
