Materials and Methods: Observational and retrospective systematic review, subjected to critical reading and using the GRADE evaluation system to identify the degree of evidence of articles published in the following databases: Epistemonikos, ScienceDirect, PubMed, Medigraphic, Scielo. From the 10 articles systematically reviewed, 20% (n=2/10) are systematic reviews, 20% (n=2/10) are quasi-experimental, and 60% (n=6/10) are cohort studies. The studies come from the countries of the United States (20%), China (20%), Saudi Arabia (20%), followed by Canada (10%), Australia (10%), South Korea (10%), and Egypt (10%). Results: 100% (n=10/10) indicate that the bundle is effective in decreasing ventilator-associated pneumonia in critical care unit patients. Conclusion: The bundle is effective in decreasing ventilator-associated pneumonia in patients in critical care units.Ítem Acceso abierto Efficacy of the combination of ketamine and propofol for sedoanalgesia.(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-07-08) Vásquez Riva, Betsy; Pretell Aguilar, Rosa MariaObjective: Systematize the evidence on the effectiveness of the bundle to decrease ventilator-associated pneumonia in critical care unit patients. For every nurse who works in intensive care units, sedoanalgesia is their basic pillar since the majority of critically ill patients require its use. Therefore, the main objective: Determine the knowledge and practices that nurses have in caring for patients with sedation in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit of the Dos de Mayo Hospital. The study material and method has a quantitative approach, a non-experimental design, and a descriptive level, because it allowed us to describe everything related to the variables, that is, the knowledge and practices that nurses have about the care of patients with sedation. The sample for the study will consist of 30 nurses. The present study has 2 data collection instruments, which are: The questionnaire: Its objective is to identify the knowledge that nurses have in caring for patients with sedation, according to pre-established items. Checklist: Its objective is to control compliance with a set of requirements and will serve to evaluate the nurse's practices in caring for the sedated patient, which consists of 3 parts before, during and after sedation.Ítem Acceso abierto Nursing knowledge and practice on the use of sedoanalgesia in patients with mechanical ventilation in the ICU of a clinic in Lima 2022.(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-04-17) Mamani Quispe, Dennis Victor; Avila Vargas Machuca, Jeannette GiselleSedation and analgesia is one of the safest and most effective techniques used in the treatment of critically ill patients; many studies indicate it as an essential tool in ICUs. Objective: To determine how nursing knowledge and practice regarding the use of sedation and analgesia in patients with mechanical ventilation in the Intensive Care Unit of a Clinic in Lima are related in 2022. Material and methods: A quantitative, observational, correlational level, non-experimental, cross-sectional design approach is proposed. The population will be made up of 40 nursing professionals who work in the Intensive Care Unit of a Clinic in Lima. To know the level of knowledge, the Knowledge Questionnaire on Sedoanalgesia in patients with mechanical ventilation developed by Teniente in 2014 will be applied (validated instrument: 0.89 and Cronbach's Alpha: 0.86), to evaluate the nursing practice in Sedoanalgesia in patients with mechanical ventilation, the Checklist was used (validated = 0.93 and KR20 = 0.906) developed by Rojas and Cristancho in 2012. The instruments will be administered in person, with prior authorization of informed consent. A descriptive and correlational statistical analysis will be carried out.
