Ítem Acceso abierto Effectiveness of exercise to improve physical and emotional capacity in patients with prostate cancer treated with androgen deprivation therapy.(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2020-10-25) Salas Caballero, Marleni Estefany; Arevalo Marcos, Rodolfo AmadoMaterial and Methods: Systematic retrospective and observational verification subject to critical reading and using the GRADE system as an evaluation tool to identify the quality of scientific evidence published in the following information sources Scielo, Epistemonikos, Sciencedirect, PubMed Researchgate. Of the 10 articles systematically reviewed, 100% were of high quality as described below: 20% (n= 2/10) are meta-analyses and 70% (n= 7/10) are systematic reviews and 10% ( n= 1/10) is a randomized controlled trial and belongs to the countries of Australia (50%), China (30%), Austria (10%) and Germany (10%). Results: 90% (n=9/10) indicate that exercise is effective in improving physical and emotional capacity in people with prostate neoplasia treated with androgen suppressive treatment. 10% (n=1/10) point out that exercise is only effective in improving physical capacity in people with prostate cancer treated with hormonal treatment. Conclusion: Exercise is effective in improving physical and emotional capacity in people with prostate neoplasia treated with hormonal treatment.
