Ítem Acceso abierto Efficacy of breastfeeding compared to local analgesics in reducing pain during vaccinations in children(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-12-14) Velazco Chaupis, Iras Edda; Matta Solis, Eduardo PercyObjective: Systematize the evidence on the effectiveness of breastfeeding compared to local analgesics to reduce pain during vaccination in children. Materials and Methods: Research, through retrospective and quantitative investigations, subjected to critical selection, using the GRADE evaluation system to identify the degree of evidence, found in the following databases: PubMed, Scielo, Cochrane. The population was the review of 21 articles establishing selection criteria, the sample was 10 articles. Results: the results according to origin are: Iran 20% (2/10), Canada 30% (3/10), Spain 10% (1/10), Mexico 10% (1/10), India 10% (1/10). 10), Turkey 10% (1/10), Saudi Arabia 10% (1/10). By type of study design, they correspond to: systematic reviews 20% (n = 2/10), controlled clinical trials 20% (n = 2/10), randomized trials 50% (n = 5/10), prospective trial 10% (n=1/10). Through evidence, it was found that 60% (6/10) demonstrated that breastfeeding has an analgesic effect compared to analgesics and that 40% (4/10) requires time for its absorption to have an analgesic effect. Conclusions: Breastfeeding has an analgesic effect to reduce pain compared to local analgesics that require time.
