Ítem Acceso abierto Prevalence of traumatic injuries to anterior teeth and associated risk factors in children aged 6 to 12 years at Clinica Delgado in the year 2018 to 2020.(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-05-12) Canchari Gamboa, Yenny Tatiana; Céspedes Porras, JacquelineObjective: To determine the prevalence of traumatic injuries in anterior teeth and associated risk factors in children aged 6 to 12 at the Delgado Clinic from 2018 to 2020. Methodology: A total of 152 clinical records were analyzed. The SPSS software version 22 was used, and the chi-square test was applied for qualitative variables. Results: It was found that 72.5% of the cases presented some type of traumatic injury. Among the affected teeth, central incisors were the most prevalent. Children aged 6 to 9 accounted for 82.9% of cases, 53.2% were male, and 40.5% exhibited incompetence and increased overjet. Conclusion: The prevalence of traumatic injuries in anterior teeth in children aged 6 to 12 at the Delgado Clinic from 2018 to 2020 was 75.5%.
