    Plantas medicinales en el tratamiento antiparasitario en niños de la Institución Educativa Inicial Yvonne Stauffer de Moya del distrito de Ate Vitarte – Huaycán 2022

    The purpose of this research was to determine the medicinal plants used in antiparasitic treatment for children at the initial educational institution (I.E.I.) 213 Yvonne Stauffer de Moya, located in the Ate Vitarte - Huaycan district, in 2022. It was based on theories related to the variable, and the methodology used was basic in type, with a quantitative approach and a non-experimental descriptive design. The population consisted of 200 patients, and the sample was determined using a formula for finite populations, resulting in a sample size of 132. A probabilistic sampling method was used. Surveys and questionnaires were applied to parents as techniques and instruments. The medicinal plants used included paico (27.3%), papaya seeds (21.2%), mint (19.7%), spearmint (17.4%), and pumpkin seeds (14.4%). The frequency of administration was as follows: monthly (30.3%), annually (25.0%), every other day (17.4%), weekly (15.9%), and daily (11.4%). In conclusion, the most commonly used plant was paico leaves.
