    Identificación del uso de biperideno asociado a neurolépticos en recetas médicas atendidas en farmacias de consultorios externos del Hospital Nacional Víctor Larco Herrera, periodo septiembre de 2018–enero de 2019

    The proper use of neuroleptics is vital both for the treatment and recovery of patients with psychotic disorders. It is also essential to minimize and control their potential adverse effects, such as extrapyramidal symptoms, among others. The objective of this research was to identify the use of Biperiden associated with neuroleptics in medical prescriptions attended at the Pharmacy Service of Adult Outpatient Clinics and Hospitalization of the Víctor Larco Herrera Hospital from September 2018 to January 2019. The methodology corresponds to a retrospective, descriptive study through non-experimental, cross-sectional quantitative analysis. The population consisted of 3182 prescriptions, and the sample was 3182 prescriptions. The formula (40) was applied to 1546 patients prescribed Biperiden 2 mg tablets, for whom a data recording sheet was used as an instrument based on medical prescriptions registered in the Specialized Hospital Integrated System (SISTEMA SIHE) software of the Pharmacy area. The results showed the highest association with Trifluoperazine 5 mg tablets at 66.27% and the lowest with Quetiapine 200 mg at 15.97% in associated prescriptions. For patients, the highest association was with Haloperidol 10 mg tablets at 78.5% and the lowest with Quetiapine 100 mg tablets at 22.4%. Conclusion: It was concluded that the use of Biperiden 2 mg tablets had a greater association with typical neuroleptics in medical prescriptions attended at the Pharmacy Service of Adult Outpatient Clinics and Hospitalization of the Víctor Larco Herrera Hospital from September 2018 to January 2019.

    Incidencia de reacciones adversas no hematológicas por uso de clozapina en pacientes hospitalizados con esquizofrenia crónica en el Hospital Nacional Víctor Larco Herrera - Lima, en el año 2022

    El presente trabajo tuvo como objetivo determinar la incidencia de reacciones adversas no hematológicas por uso de Clozapina en pacientes hospitalizados con esquizofrenia crónica en el Hospital Nacional Víctor Larco Herrera (HNVLH) - Lima, en el año 2022. Método. El diseño fue no experimental, estudio tipo básico, observacional, alcance descriptivo de corte transversal, retrospectivo; tomándose como población a los 65 pacientes hospitalizados con diagnóstico de esquizofrenia crónica que reportaron la presencia de Reacciones Adversas Medicamentosas (RAMs) en el periodo de enero – diciembre 2022. Resultados: De los 65 RAMs que sucedieron en el año 2022, resulto que 22 casos (33.80%) fueron debido al uso de clozapina, además el síntoma más frecuente reportado fue Sialorrea frecuente en 10 pacientes (45%), el síntoma del sistema nervioso central más frecuente en ocurrir fue la somnolencia, este se registró en 8 pacientes (36%), también el síntoma gastrointestinal que se presentó en mayor frecuencia fue el estreñimiento, ya que apareció en 4 paciente (18%). Conclusión: La incidencia de RAMs fue 45.45% sialorrea, 36% somnolencia y 18% estreñimiento en pacientes hospitalizados en HNVLH con esquizofrenia crónica.
