Ítem Acceso abierto Level of knowledge about tuberculosis and attitude towards the treatment of pulmonary tuberculosis in patients at the San José health center, Villa El Salvador 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-08-03) Choque Lonasco, Sonia Marlene; Cárdenas de Fernández, María HildaObjective: To determine how the level of knowledge about tuberculosis is related to the attitude towards the treatment of pulmonary tuberculosis in patients of the San José Health Center, Villa El Salvador 2023. Methodology: A quantitative, non-experimental, applied, observational, correlational and cross-sectional study with a sample of 40 patients who attended the health center, using the Huamán questionnaire as a data collection instrument, maintaining adequate reliability and validity for its application to the participants. Results: The level of knowledge about tuberculosis was medium in 67.5%, followed by low levels in 22.5% and high in 10%, representing an important health problem. Likewise, attitudes towards the treatment of pulmonary tuberculosis showed acceptance in 47.5% of the participants, indifference in 35% and, finally, rejection in 17.5%. Conclusion: The relationship between both study variables is high and positive, totaling a correlation coefficient of 0.721.
