Ítem Acceso abierto Evidence on the effectiveness of direct-acting antiviral agents to treat hepatitis C in kidney transplant recipients(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2020-02-01) Melendez Velasquez, Oscar David; Villalta Pineda, Rosa Lisette; Gamarra Bustillos, CarlosMaterials and methods: A retrospective systematic review, observational, and subject to critical analysis, using the GRADE evaluation method to identify the level of evidence from the published studies in the following databases: Wiley Online Library, PubMed, ScienceDirect, Epistemonikos, and Scielo. Of the 10 articles systematically reviewed, 10% (n=1/10) are systematic reviews, 10% (n=1/10) are meta-analyses, 30% (n=3/10) are randomized controlled trials, and 50% (n=5/10) are cohort studies. These studies come from the United States (30%), Germany (20%), Spain (20%), China (10%), Pakistan (10%), and Austria (10%). Results: 100% (n=10/10) indicate that therapy with direct-acting antiviral agents is effective in treating hepatitis C in renal transplant recipients. Conclusion: Therapy with direct-acting antiviral agents is effective in treating hepatitis C in renal transplant recipients.
