Effectiveness of sucrose for pain control during invasive procedures in the newborn
(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 1905-07-09) Quispe Riveros, Rosy; Tarazona Nuñez, Rosa Kelly; Remuzgo Artezano, Anika
Objective: Determine the effectiveness of sucrose for pain control during invasive procedures in the newborn Materials and Methods: Observational and retrospective systematic review, the search has been restricted to articles with full text, and the selected articles underwent a critical reading, using Jover's evaluation to identify its level of evidence. Results: In the final selection, 10 articles were chosen, we found that 30% (03) correspond to the United States, while with 10% (01) we find England, Uruguay, Canada, Mexico, Argentina, Peru, Korea, Arabia Saudi respectively. Most experimental studies have been studied, with 90%, mainly in the countries of England, Uruguay, Canada, Mexico, Argentina, Peru, Korea, Saudi Arabia. Among systematic reviews we find the country of the United States, with 10%. Where, of the total number of articles analyzed, 100% stated that those newborns who received oral sucrose reduced their pain. Conclusions: The effectiveness of sucrose in controlling pain in newborns undergoing invasive procedures was evidenced in the reviewed research. It is recommended to use 24% sucrose in full-term newborns, as an optimal dose: 0.5ml/kg/po maximum 8 times in 24 hours, 2 minutes before the painful procedure.

Effectiveness of teaching with the use of simulators in the development of emergency management skills in nursing students and professionals
(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-12-07) Hernández Luján, Silvia Rosa; Hurtado Contreras, Elizabeth; Matta Solis, Hernán Hugo
Objective: Systematize the evidence on the effectiveness of teaching with the use of simulators in the development of competencies for emergency management in nursing students and professionals. Material and Method: The research design was a systematic review. The total population was 19 articles, extracted from scientific databases, to which eligibility and selection criteria were applied, with 10 articles being the final sample. Results: 50% (n=5) come from the United States, 20% (n=2) from Korea, 10% (n=1) from Brazil, 10% (n=1) from Saudi Arabia and 10% (n =1) from Sweden. 40% (n=4) are experimental designs, 10% (n=2) were systematic reviews, 20% (n=2) were quasi-experimental, 10% (n=1) longitudinal cohort and 20% (n=2 ) transversal descriptive. Conclusions: Of 10 articles systematically reviewed, 7/10 (70%) conclude that teaching with the use of simulators is effective in the development of competencies for emergency management in nursing professionals, improving its various basic, generic and specific components. . 3/10 (30%) report that it is necessary to carry out more research, finding non-significant results.

Factors associated with intraventricular hemorrhage in neonates
(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 1905-07-09) Bernabe Ponte, Corina; Miranda Palomino, Rosa Angélica; Avila Vargas Machuca, Jeannette Giselle
Methodology: Systematic review of 10 articles, we found that 20% (02) correspond to Peru, with 80% (08) correspond to Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Spain, Poland, China, Iran, Pakistan and Nigeria. All of them mostly represent quantitative case-control studies with 80%. Likewise, a systematic review was found published in Saudi Arabia (10%) and we also have a cross-sectional quantitative study (10%) belonging to Nigeria. Results: The factors associated with intraventricular hemorrhage are low birth weight and lower gestational age. They also mention as factors associated with the male sex, weight less than 1000 g, Apgar score less than 6 at five minutes, necrotizing enterocolitis, complications of ventilatory support, invasive procedures such as orotracheal intubation, resuscitation due to asphyxiation, chorioamnionitis, respiratory disease. , distress syndrome, hypotension and multiple birth; They are factors associated with developing intraventricular hemorrhage Conclusions: According to everything mentioned above, corresponding to 100% of the articles analyzed, it is concluded that they are factors associated with intraventricular hemorrhage in neonates.

Quality of life in adult patients with chronic renal failure undergoing hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis
(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 1905-07-09) Reynoso Bernachea, David Angel; Rosales Cardenas, Margot Marili; Gómez Gonzales, Walter Edgar
Objective: Systematize evidence on the quality of life of adult patients with chronic renal failure undergoing hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis. Materials and Methods: Systematic observational and retrospective review, the search was carried out in articles with full text and the selected articles were subjected to a critical reading, according to the Grade system to identify the quality of evidence. Results: In the final selection, 10 scientific articles on quality of life in patients undergoing hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis were chosen: 03 studies correspond to a systematic review (30%), 01 cohort study (10%) and 06 studies are of a cross-sectional descriptive method. (60%), which present: Latin American (3), Asian (2), European (2), African (2) and American (1) studies, which applied the SF36 questionnaire to assess the quality of life, 90% of the articles analyzed report that there are no significant differences in the quality of life of patients undergoing hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis and only 10% represented by the Saudi Arabia study report that patients on peritoneal dialysis have a better quality of life, compared to hemodialysis patients, since it was applied to patients between 48 to 51 years old, in the studies, the possible factors related to quality of life were: age, comorbidity, marital status and education. Conclusions: Having carried out the systematic review of articles, it is concluded that there is no significant difference in the quality of life of patients with end-stage chronic renal failure undergoing hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis.
