Mariscal Castilla - Rímac 2017"(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-12-04) Sánchez Barrantes, Ingrid Melissa; Gere Reyna, Cinthia Rocio; Huapaya Pizarro, Cleopatra de AméricaMaterial and method: this research had a quantitative approach with a descriptive, correlational, and cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 60 mothers, the survey was used as a technique and the questionnaire designed by the researchers as an instrument. Result: they showed that in terms of knowledge the medium level predominates with 51.7%, followed by high level with 45% and finally 3.3% low level, in terms of attitude of the mothers they were mostly favorable with 68.3% and 31.7% unfavorable . The correlation was determined using Pearson's Chi-square statistical test, where P value is 0.023. Conclusion: There is a relationship between knowledge and attitudes of preventive measures for Acute Respiratory Infections in mothers of children under 5 years of age, in terms of knowledge the average level and a favorable attitude predominate.Ítem Acceso abierto Level of knowledge about prevention of sexually transmitted infections and attitudes towards risky sexual behaviors in students of the professional nursing school of the 1st cycle of the Norbert Wiener Private University, 2020(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-09-30) Quispe Paez, Johana Estefany; Cárdenas de Fernández, María HildaObjective: "To determine the relationship between the level of knowledge about STIs and attitudes toward risky sexual behaviors in students of the 1st cycle of the Professional Nursing School at Norbert Wiener Private University, 2020." Materials and methods: This research is quantitative, descriptive in nature. The methodological design is cross-sectional, non-experimental. The population consisted of 128 students from the first cycle, morning shift, of the Nursing School at UPNW 2020 - I. The data collection instrument used for the first variable was a questionnaire on the level of knowledge for the prevention of STIs, where each correct answer was worth 1 point, while an incorrect answer was worth 0 points. For the second variable, attitudes, a Likert scale with 15 items was used, along with five levels of response intensity (Strongly agree, Agree, Neutral, Disagree, and Strongly disagree). Each level was assigned a score of 5, 4, 2, 3, and 1, respectively. If a positive behavior was indicated by a negative result, an inverse scoring method was applied. Results: Regarding the level of knowledge about STIs, of the 100% (n=128) of the surveyed students, 53% had medium knowledge, 24.6% had high knowledge, and 15.4% had low knowledge. Regarding attitudes toward risky sexual behaviors, among the nursing students of the 1st cycle at the Nursing School of Norbert Wiener Private University, it was found that the Neutral" attitude was the most prevalent, with 64.8%, followed by a slight tendency toward rejection at 26.6%, and acceptance at 8.6%.Ítem Acceso abierto Total family risk and attitude of family members of pulmonary tuberculosis patients at the Infantas Los Olivos Health Center, Lima 2017(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-11-29) Terreros Esteban, Karina Zulema; Alca Cabana, María del Carmen; Borda Izquierdo, AlejandroObjective: Determine the relationship between the total family risk and the attitude of the relatives of patients with pulmonary tuberculosis at the Infantas Los Olivos Health Center, Lima, 2017. Material and method: The study has a quantitative approach with a correlational descriptive design. The population was 50 families who attend the health strategy for tuberculosis control and prevention at the Infantas Health Center in Los Olivos. The technique used was the survey. The instrument used was the Total Family Risk questionnaire: 5-33 by Pilar Amaya. Results: There is a relationship between total family risk and attitude of family members with tuberculosis, it was identified using Spearman's non-parametric bivariate correlation test, a coefficient of -0.356 was obtained with a margin of error of 5% (p = .011). In relation to the variable Total Family Risk, families with low risk predominate with 94%, and for the attitude variable of family members, the majority have an attitude of acceptance with 80%. Conclusions: There is a relationship between total family risk and attitude of family members. Of the patients with tuberculosis, the majority presented low-risk total family risk and an attitude of acceptance in family members.
