It is also the condition that generates the highest number of years lost to disability globally and ranks sixth among the conditions contributing to the highest disease burden worldwide. Objective: To describe the frequency of functional disability due to low back pain in patients at the "Ángel" Physical and Oral Rehabilitation Medical Center in the Huamanga Province, Ayacucho, in 2022. Materials and Methods: This is a deductive study with a quantitative approach, descriptive scope, applied type, and non-experimental cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 120 patients aged 18-60 who completed a data collection sheet and the Oswestry Disability Index for low back pain. Results: The study found that 30% of patients aged 51-60 suffer from low back pain, with a higher prevalence in women (60.8%) compared to men (39.2%). Regarding BMI, 65.8% had normal weight, and among occupations, professionals predominated (59.2%). Regarding functional disability due to low back pain, moderate disability (45.8%) was most common, followed by severe disability (27.5%), minimal disability (17.5%), disability (8.3%), and maximum functional limitation (0.8%). Conclusions: Functional disability due to low back pain is more frequent in women, with 55% having moderate disability.
