Ítem Acceso abierto Use of automated traceability systems to improve sterilization processes(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2020-09-20) Lovón Chávez, Pompeyo Humberto; Salas Ramos, Gabriela Giovanna; Avila Vargas Machuca, Jeannette GiselleObjective: To systematically analyze the evidence on the benefits of using automated traceability systems in sterilization processes. Methodology: A systematic review was conducted on 8 scientific articles regarding "the use of automated traceability systems in sterilization processes." These were found in the following databases: Cochrane, Lilacs, Scielo, Medline Pubmed. All articles were analyzed according to the GRADE scale to determine their strength and quality of evidence. Results: A total of 8 articles were included, discussing the benefits of using automated traceability systems in sterilization processes. The selection included 2 experimental studies, 2 experience reports, 2 case studies, 1 prospective study, and 1 literature review. The evidence showed that 37% came from Brazil, 25% from Spain, and 13% from Japan, Argentina, and Peru, respectively. Conclusion: All 8 articles systematically reviewed (100%) demonstrate the benefits of using automated traceability systems in sterilization processes.
