Body image and addiction to social networks in secondary level students of the Pedro Gálvez Egúsquiza Educational Institution, Lima-2022

The research aimed to determine the relationship between body image and social media addiction in secondary school students at the I.E.P. Pedro Gálvez Egúsquiza. This study was quantitative, with a correlational level, non-experimental, and cross-sectional design. The Social Media Addiction Questionnaire and the Body Image Dissatisfaction Questionnaire were applied to 151 secondary school students. It was found that body image is significantly correlated with social media addiction (rho = 0.445; p < 0.01), positively and moderately. This means that students with a high level of social media addiction are more likely to develop body image dissatisfaction. If the use of social media is excessively extreme, they will develop difficulties abstaining from it and obsessive thoughts about it.

Funcionalidad familiar y conducta adictiva de los internos del centro de rehabilitación para adicciones Comunidad Terapéutica Plan Crisálida del distrito de Lurín, Lima, 2025

El presente estudio tuvo por objetivo determinar la relación entre la funcionalidad familiar y la conducta adictiva en los internos del centro de rehabilitación terapéutica plan crisálida del distrito de Lurín, Lima- 2025. Para ello se empleó un diseño no experimental, enfoque cuantitativo, nivel correlacional y transversal; donde se seleccionó una muestra compuesta por 50 pacientes de la comunidad terapéutica plan crisálida de Lurín- Lima, a quienes se les aplicó el “APGAR familiar” y el “DAST-10”. Los resultados revelaron que no existe una relación significativa con el consumo de drogas (rho=0.012; p=0.0932>0.05); de la misma forma ocurrió respecto a la relación entre funcionalidad familiar y las consecuencias del consumo de drogas (p=0.05). Esto derivó en que no hubo evidencias que muestre relación de la funcionalidad familiar con el consumo de drogas.

Importance of the motivational program in the cycle of behavior change in patients who consume psychoactive substances in the Ñaña rehabilitation center

Addiction is a chronic disease characterized by the compulsive seeking and consumption of psychoactive substances. The objective of this research is to determine the importance of the motivational program in the cycle of behavior change in patients who consume psychoactive substances. This research in question has a quantitative approach, and in terms of methodological design it is a pre-experimental research. The population for carrying out this research will be made up of 30 patients who voluntarily attend the outpatient clinic of the Naña rehabilitation center and will undergo a test before treatment and then a test after receiving treatment. The University of Rhode Island Change Assessment Scale (URICA) instrument will be used to evaluate the stage of change regarding the modification of any addictive behavior.
