    Anthropometric Nutritional Assessment in schools of primary education of the Santa Rosa de Llanavilla Educational Institution 7241

    Objective: To determine the anthropometric nutritional assessment in primary school students at Santa Rosa de Llanavilla Educational Institution 7241. Methodology: This research follows a quantitative approach, with a descriptive cross-sectional methodological design. The population consisted of 111 primary school students from the first to sixth grade. The participating students were selected according to inclusion and exclusion criteria. Results: Among first-grade students, 94% had normal height, 6% had short stature; 81% had normal BMI, 13% had thinness, and 6% had obesity. In second-grade students, 100% had normal height, 77% had normal BMI, and 23% had obesity. Among third-grade students, 89% had normal height, 11% had short stature; 83% had normal BMI, and 17% had obesity. In fourth-grade students, 81% had normal height, 5% had tall stature, and 14% had short stature; 67% had normal BMI, and 33% had obesity. In fifth-grade students, 100% had normal height, 92% had normal BMI, and 8% had obesity. Finally, among sixth-grade students, 88% had normal height, 6% had tall stature, and 6% had short stature; 72% had normal BMI, and 28% had obesity. Conclusions: It was found that the majority of students have a normal height and body mass index for their age.

    Lifestyles and non-communicable diseases in the care staff of the Anglolab laboratory, Lima 2023

    The aim of this research was to determine the relationship between lifestyle and non-communicable diseases among the healthcare staff of Laboratorio Anglolab, Lima 2023. An inductive method, quantitative approach, applied type, descriptive, correlational, cross-sectional, and non-experimental design were used. The sample consisted of 80 healthcare workers from the clinical laboratory area of Anglolab, divided into six groups from five districts, who were surveyed and anthropometrically evaluated. 68.8% of the sample were female, while 31.3% were male. Regarding age, 33.8% were in the 31-35 age range, followed by 22.5% in the 41-55 age range, and 16.3% in the 36-40 age range. 13.8% were in the 26-30 age group, 10% in the 56+ range, and 3% in the 18-25 range. Concerning job position, 48.75% were medical technologists, followed by 45% technicians, and 6.3% biologists. Regarding lifestyle, most respondents (60%) were healthy, followed by those with unhealthy lifestyles (38.75%) and very healthy lifestyles (1.3%). In non-communicable diseases, 98.8% of workers were at low risk, while 1.3% had a high risk. A statistically significant correlation was found between lifestyle and non-communicable diseases among Laboratorio Anglolab staff, Lima 2023, with a significance level of 0.002, less than < 0.05. The Rho coefficient was 0.342, indicating a low positive correlation, and the Pearson coefficient was 0.379, indicating a moderate positive correlation.
