Ítem Acceso abierto Clinical characteristics of two bioactive materials in direct pulp capping, Lima - 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-06-12) Soel Quispe, Natividad; Gómez Carrión, Christian EstebanThe objective of this study was to determine the clinical characteristics of two bioactive materials in direct pulp capping, Lima - 2023. A non-experimental, quantitative, applied, and longitudinal methodology was used, with a sample of 40 natural premolars and molars from patients aged 18 to 30 years attending the Nisha Medic clinic. The results revealed that the clinical characteristics of MTA predominated: at 7 days, 17 patients (85%) reported no pain, and 3 patients (15%) reported dental sensitivity; at 15 days, 17 patients (85%) reported no pain, and 3 patients (15%) experienced spontaneous pain; at 30 days, 17 patients (85%) reported no pain, and 3 patients (15%) experienced pain upon percussion. Additionally, the p-value found was 0.00, which is lower than the alpha value, thus rejecting the null hypothesis (Ho). With a 95% confidence level, it can be stated that there are differences between the clinical characteristics of the two bioactive materials. Based on the results obtained in this study, it can be concluded that there is a difference between the clinical characteristics of the two bioactive materials in direct pulp capping, Lima - 2023, with Biodentine showing better results.
