Publicación Acceso abierto Variación de peso en neonatos pretérmino relacionado al aporte calórico proteico según la Guía ESPGHAN/ESPEN/ESPR 2018. Hospital Docente Madre Niño San Bartolomé, Lima - 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-06-26) Inga Peralta, Pavel Omar; Velásquez Acosta, Pablo MáximoObjective: To determine the relationship between protein-calorie intake according to the 2018 ESPGHAN/ESPEN/ESPR pediatric parenteral nutrition guidelines and weight variation in preterm neonates. Methodology: The approach was quantitative, observational, cross-sectional, retrospective, and correlational, evaluating the relationship between two variables. The population consisted of 51 preterm neonates with birth weights ≤ 1500 g. Data was collected from parenteral nutrition formulas from 2022. Results: A higher percentage of preterm neonates increased their weight when receiving PN that met all macronutrient recommendations (72.7%; n = 11), as well as the energy intake recommendation (76.2%; n = 21). In the analysis of protein intake, the weight increased in that received the recommended intake (67.9%; n = 28) as well as those who did not receive it (65.2%; n = 23); similarly, in the analysis of carbohydrate intake, those who received the recommended intake (64.9%; n = 37) as well as those who did not receive it (71.4%; n = 14) increased their weight. Conclusions: Parenteral nutrition that meets the recommendations for protein and calorie intake according to the ESPGHAN/ESPEN/ESPR Pediatric Parenteral Nutrition Guidelines – 2018, promotes weight gain in preterm infants.
