They were given the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) and the Palma Job Satisfaction Questionnaire. The results determined that there is a relationship between Burnout syndrome and job satisfaction (rho=-0.265; p=0.017<0.05), with the majority of the staff showing a medium range of 52.5% in Burnout syndrome and a job dissatisfaction level of 57.5%. Therefore, negative attitudes and feelings towards oneself or others, along with emotional exhaustion, are related to low job satisfaction levels among the workers at the studied Health Center.Ítem Acceso abierto Evaluation of emotional depletion, depersonalisation and low personal realisation in students of dentistry at the Private University Norbert Wiener(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-03-21) Dionicio Salazar, Ana Teresa; Vergara Pinto, Brenda RoxanaThe present research study is titled: "Evaluation of emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and low personal accomplishment in Dentistry students at the Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener." This study was conducted to determine whether students at the Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener (UPNW) are affected by stress. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), an individual's mental health can be influenced by three basic factors: social, psychological, and biological, whose particular qualities determine a specific lifestyle for each person. The objective of this study was to assess emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and low personal accomplishment in Dentistry students at UPNW. This was an observational, descriptive, cross-sectional, and prospective study carried out at UPNW. The study population consisted of students from the Professional Academic School of Dentistry who were in their eighth, ninth, and tenth cycles, totaling 164 students. The last cycles were chosen as they are considered to have a heavier academic load, as eighth and ninth cycle students are in the comprehensive clinical stage, and tenth cycle students face academic challenges outside their institution, competing with students from other universities in various hospitals. This type of competition can often lead to stress. Data collection utilized two instruments: a sociodemographic questionnaire and the Maslach Burnout Inventory questionnaire, which is globally used to assess this syndrome. For bio-statistical analysis, the Chi-square test was applied. The results showed that 20.1% of the population exhibited emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and low personal accomplishment, while 79.9% showed none of these symptoms.Ítem Acceso abierto Human values and burnout syndrome in students of the 8th and 9th cycle of the academic professional school of dentistry of the Norbert Wiener Private University – Lima, 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-12-01) Bedon Lopez, Yamira Yuracy; Marroquín García, Lorenzo EnriqueThe objective of this study was to determine the relationship between human values and burnout syndrome in 8th and 9th semester students of the School of Dentistry at the Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener in Lima, 2023. The research adopted a quantitative approach with a descriptive correlational design, non-experimental, and cross-sectional in nature. A questionnaire was used to collect data from a sample of 120 students. The results of the analysis showed that 73.3% of students expressed a high level of human values, while 75.8% showed an intermediate level in relation to burnout syndrome. Interestingly, 58.3% of students with high human values also reported experiencing burnout syndrome at a medium level. In conclusion, a significant association between human values and burnout syndrome was identified, supported by the Spearman correlation coefficients (Rho = 0.25, p = 0.006), which highlight the interdependence between these two variables. These results emphasize the need to consider the dimension of human values when addressing the prevention and management of burnout syndrome in the educational context of dentistryÍtem Acceso abierto Prevalence of burnout syndrome in students of the eap dentistry of norbert wiener university during the covid-19 pandemic(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-11-24) Gutiérrez De La Cruz, Alexander; Aguirre Morales, Anita KoriThe objective of this research was to determine the prevalence of burnout syndrome in students of the Dentistry Department at Universidad Norbert Wiener during the COVID-19 pandemic.
