The Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen National Hospital, affiliated with Social Security, aims for 100% coverage in screening women at risk. The hospital conducts approximately 20,000 cytological tests annually but has not yet evaluated the proportion of regressive, persistent, and progressive results in follow-up cytological studies for patients with atypical squamous cells and low and high-grade intraepithelial lesions. This study aims to follow up on patients with atypical squamous cells and cervical intraepithelial lesions at the hospital to analyze the effectiveness of cytological monitoring in their evolution.
