Material and methods.- Systematic observational, prospective review of the literature, the search was consulted in full-text articles. Nine articles were chosen, corresponding to a period from 2008 to 2018, from various countries, among the articles that were included: Randomized controlled trial, descriptive study, systematic review, Meta-analysis study, quasi-experimental study. Results.- Of the total of 9 articles reviewed, 88.8%. They point out that aromatherapy is effective in reducing anxiety and pain in cancer patients, which indicates that aromatherapy is a viable intervention and tools like this are essential to improve the quality of life of those affected by cancer Conclusions. - According to the evidence analyzed, it is concluded that aromatherapy is effective in reducing anxiety and pain in cancer patients.
