Regarding single-use medical devices that were subjected to challenge contamination, 66.67% of the articles reviewed demonstrated absence of bacterial growth. Microbiological results regarding laparoscopic surgery instruments, high-resolution forceps, cardiac catheters, high-rotation handpieces and electric scalpels; It was negative in all cases.
