Ítem Acceso abierto In vitro evaluation of the retention of porcelain using different cementation materials for dental crowns, Lima 2019(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-11-04) Tarazona Flores, Miguilina; Girano Castaños, Jorge AlbertoAesthetics is an important part of social relationships today, and dentists must have good judgment based on accurate diagnosis to determine the appropriate treatment for anterior teeth. In dental restorations with veneers, there is a wide variety of ceramic materials, among which feldspathic ceramics like IPS e. Max (IvoclarVivadent®), reinforced with lithium disilicate, stand out for their high fracture resistance. To achieve proper retention of the veneer to the tooth, the cementing agent plays a crucial role in the success of the treatment. The main objective of this research was to evaluate the adhesion of porcelain using Tetric N Flow fluid resin and RelyX™ U200 dual cement, 3M ESPE, as cementation materials for dental veneers. The study was experimental, analytical, prospective, and cross-sectional. A digital universal testing machine, CMT-5L (Korean), was used as the data collection instrument to assess microtensile bond strength, where the highest adhesion level was achieved with Tetric N-Flow fluid resin at 7.9% Mpa, and the lowest level was with RelyX™ U200 cement at 5.9% Mpa. We conclude that retention of porcelain was successfully achieved using different cementation materials for dental veneers.
