Personal, pathological, obstetric history, clinical examination, auxiliary tests, specialized management, and the patient's evolution from admission to hospital discharge were included. Additionally, the case was compared with bibliographic references. Results: The clinical case involved an advanced maternal age patient (37 years), primigravida with a gestational age of 26 weeks and 6 days, diagnosed with chorioamnionitis and preterm labor. The patient initially presented with a threat of preterm labor, followed by premature rupture of membranes. Predominant criteria included rising leukocytosis over time and an increased level of C-reactive protein, leading to the diagnosis of chorioamnionitis and the decision to terminate the pregnancy, resulting in a live female newborn weighing 1040 grams, APGAR 1-5, who was admitted to the ICU. Placental pathology study: Chorioamnionitis. Conclusions: Chorioamnionitis is an ascending infectious pathology that, if not managed in time, leads to both maternal and perinatal complications.Ítem Acceso abierto Clinical manifestations due to coronavirus and quality of life in oncological patients at the Jesús Nazareno Ayacucho support hospital, period 2020(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-09-12) Chahuailacc Taipe, Luisa; Gonzales Saldaña, Susan HaydeeCancer is the uncontrolled growth and spread of cells that can appear anywhere in the body, often invading surrounding tissue and causing metastasis. It can be prevented by controlling risk factors. Treatment consists of chemotherapy, radiotherapy or surgery, if its detection occurs in the initial stages. Covid-19 is a recently discovered infectious disease caused by the coronavirus that affects a large part of the population and is a public health problem that causes serious damage to individuals, families and society; His condition causes a deterioration in the quality of life of the cancer patient, causing high costs in treatment and controls. Aim. Determine how the clinical manifestation of coronavirus is associated with quality of life in cancer patients. Methodology. The present study has a quantitative approach, Hypothetical - deductive method, correlational level, applied type and non-experimental cross-sectional design. On a sample of 56 oncology patients with Covid-19, intentionally selected from a population of 120 oncology patients. Instruments: the FUMAT Questionnaire and Scale, the first of which has been validated by expert judgment. Reliability was determined using Cronbach's Alpha, the contrast statistics will be the Chi square test.Ítem Acceso abierto Effectiveness of changing the peripheral venous catheter in the prevention of phlebitis(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 1905-07-09) Cachi Sanchez, Bertha Elizabeth; Sanches Huisa, Mirian Marcela; Mendigure Fernández, JulioObjective: Systematize the available evidence on the effectiveness of changing the peripheral venous catheter for the prevention of phlebitis. Methodology: The study carried out is a Systematic Review of 10 articles in the LILACS, SCIELO, MEDLINE, and PUBMED databases, whose search has been restricted to articles with full text, and the selected articles were subjected to a critical reading, using the Jover's evaluation to identify its level of evidence. Results: In the review of the Articles, the effectiveness of changing the peripheral venous catheter to prevent phlebitis is observed; However, in the latest studies carried out, the permanence time of peripheral devices does not show the cause of the origin of vascular complications such as phlebitis, in relation to the systematic change and replacement due to clinical indication in adult patients with intravenous treatment. Conclusion: The evidence shows that to prevent phlebitis in hospitalized patients, changing the peripheral venous catheter does not necessarily require routine change every 72 hours, but rather when clinically indicated. Most of the studies reviewed provide input to the nursing professional and health institutions shared benefits. patient safety, reduction in procedures and time in care and reduction in costsÍtem Acceso abierto Effectiveness of group education vs. individual education to improve the quality of life of patients with Diabetes Mellitus(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 1905-07-09) Silva Valencia, Teresa Isabel; Wong Valerio, Miryam Luisa; Remuzgo Artezano, AnikaObjective: Determine the effectiveness of group health education compared to individual education in improving the quality of life of patients with Diabetes Mellitus. Material and method: Retrospective systematic bibliographic search and review. The search was restricted to articles with full text and with a time limit of 10 years, and was carried out in the databases PudMed, Index de Enfermería, Scielo, Evidentia, Cochrane during the month of February 2016. Results: They were chosen 10 articles obtaining the following data: the application of group education has a great impact on the level of knowledge about the disease, as demonstrated in 100% of the articles reviewed, improving adherence to the treatment (66.6%), raising self-care levels (83.3%), achieving behavioral changes in relation to diet and physical activity (50%), therefore controlling biochemical parameters such as glucose (83.3%), and physical such as weight and BMI (33.3%) also shows other indicators such as: no diabetic complications (16.6%) which translate into a decrease in emergency care due to hyper or hypo glycemia. Conclusions: In this bibliographic review, group education is highlighted as the most effective method for the transmission of important knowledge. It also shows us the impact it causes as a means for socialization and the exchange of experiences. Structured group education as a complement to individual education appears necessary and extremely important to improve the quality of life and metabolic control of people with diabetes.Ítem Acceso abierto Emotional impact on health personnel in the intensive surveillance unit for Covid-19 of a hospital in Lima, 2021(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-09-26) Pascual García, Luis Armando; Arevalo Marcos, Rodolfo AmadoThe pandemic has caused multiple damages, starting with physical and emotional health, economic, work, etc., a person cannot carry out their daily tasks if they do not have adequate mental health and even less so if that person is health personnel since they work caring for and healing people, any bad decision made by these personnel could cause serious consequences, the emotional impact caused by caring for conglomerates of sick people, not only strangers, but also family members, lack of supplies, large number of deaths, among other stressful situations, cause emotions that are nothing favorable for mental health, such as anxiety, stress and depression. Material and Method: The hypothetical-deductive method will be used to confirm or reject the proposed hypothesis. Cross-sectional, which allows us to observe the phenomenon under study in a single moment. With a quantitative approach, the data will be collected systematically and numerical measurement and statistical analysis will be carried out that will allow the hypothesis to be verified and conclusions to be proposed.
