Publicación Acceso abierto Relación entre el afrontamiento de cefaleas y los estilos de vida en adultos mayores de 40 años atendidos en la botica Romado San Juan de Lurigancho 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-07-09) Aliaga Bautista, Rosa Irene; Garcia Garcia, Leisy Sarela; Ramos Jaco, Antonio GuillermoThe objective of the study was to determine the relationship between headache coping and lifestyle in adults over 40 years old treated at Botica Romado, San Juan de Lurigancho, 2023. Methodology: Deductive method, quantitative approach, basic type, non-experimental design, cross-sectional cut, and correlational level. The sample consisted of 184 older adult patients. The instrument used was a questionnaire. Results: It was found that 77.2% had a medium level of headache coping, compared to 13.6% with a high level and 9.2% with a low level. Regarding dimensions, behavioral coping showed the highest percentage at the low level (41.8%) compared to cognitive and pharmacological coping. As for lifestyle, 76.1% had a medium-level lifestyle. At the dimensional level, physical activity showed the lowest concentration at the medium level compared to healthy and unhealthy habits, with 34.8% at a high level and 15.2% at a low level.A statistically significant direct relationship was found (rho = 0.547, p = 0.000 < 0.05). Conclusion: A significant direct relationship was determined between headache coping and lifestyle in adults over 40 years old.Publicación Acceso abierto Uso de congona “Peperomia congona sodiro” como alternativa de tratamiento para aliviar la migraña en pobladores que acuden al Mercado San Antonio, Cajamarca 2024(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-12-12) Chavez Silva, Yosi Siday; Quispe Osis, Deysi Maria; Ñañez del Pino, DanielCurrently, migraine represents a serious public health challenge with a high prevalence in the global population, impacting quality of life, productivity, and economic expenses, especially among women. Studies indicate that Congona alleviates migraine symptoms due to its analgesic properties that ease headaches. The objective of this research was to evaluate the relationship between Congona consumption and migraine relief as an alternative treatment for individuals who visit the San Antonio market. The method of this study was hypothetical-deductive, with a quantitative approach; the type of research was basic; with a correlational, non-experimental, and cross-sectional design; applied to a population that frequents the San Antonio market from April to October, with a sample of 385 individuals where simple random probabilistic sampling was used. A questionnaire was therefore applied as the instrument for data collection. The results showed significant differences, providing evidence of migraine relief, supported by a p-value <0.05. The conclusion was that there is indeed a relationship between Congona consumption and migraine relief as an alternative treatment among users who visit the San Antonio market, supported by a p-value <0.05, rejecting the null hypothesis (Ho) and accepting the alternative hypothesis (H1).
