The systematic review allows us to show that the management of external ventricular drainage is effective in preventing the risk of infection of the central nervous system in newborns with hydrocephalus; For this reason, it is important to update knowledge about the management of these drainages and, on the other hand, achieve greater excellence in our professional performance.
