Ítem Acceso abierto Relationship between pre-analytical variables and performance of coagulation profile tests, Lambayeque hospital, 2021.(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-06-02) Siesquen Silva, Jaime; Champa Guevara, Cesar AlfonsoThe aim of the study was to determine the relationship between pre-analytical variables and the performance of coagulation profile tests at Lambayeque Hospital in 2021, following global standards such as WHO, CLSI, and ISO. This was a hypothetical-deductive study with a quantitative, correlational, applied approach, examining pre-analytical procedures in the hemostasis laboratory of a public hospital. Variable 1 and its dimensions include patient preparation, tourniquet application time, tube order, mixing, specimen volume, centrifugation, and special specimen handling. Variable 2 and its dimensions included basic coagulation profile tests, validated through expert judgment, with a representative population of 2600 users and a sample size of 427, considering inclusion and exclusion criteria. SPSS was used to generate frequency tables for errors, chi-square, and Pearson tests for nominal scale variables. It was demonstrated that there is a relationship between pre-analytical variables and the performance of coagulation profile tests.
