The observational and retrospective Systematic Review methodology was used, the search was restricted to 10 full-text scientific articles published in Spanish, English and Portuguese, no older than 10 years. The selected articles were subjected to a critical reading to identify their level of evidence. Finding as a result that 90% of articles show that nebulization with Hypertonic Saline Solution is effective in the treatment of bronchiolitis, reducing severity scores and hospital stay in infants and infants. Also the remaining 10% only show a reduction in hospital stay. Material and Method: The systematic exploration of the 10 scientific articles that deal with the effectiveness of the use of Non-Pharmacological Therapies in the relief of pain in hospitalized children, were in the subsequent databases Cochrane, Lilacs, Scielo, Medline Pubmed, these were examined according to the Grade scale to establish its strength and quality of evidence Results: Of the 10 articles reviewed, 80% recommend that non-pharmacological therapies are effective for the relief of pain in hospitalized children and the 20% evidence that the nurse is of vital importance to apply these therapies and educate the family and the patient. Conclusions: According to this review, it can be said that nursing has a very important role in the application of these non-pharmacological therapies, in addition to strengthening their autonomy in caring for the child since the application of these therapies is their decision, with the firm purpose to improve the physical, biological and emotional well-being of the hospitalized child. Material and Methods: Systematic review, based on critical reading and carried out under the GRADE evaluation system to assess the quality of the evidence of the articles selected from the following databases: Epistemonikos, Sciencedirect, PubMed, Researchgate, Scielo, Elsevier. Results: The reviewed articles showed that 60% are systematic reviews and meta-analyses, 10% are quantitative cross-sectional studies, 10% are bibliographic reviews, 10% are descriptive cross-sectional studies and 10% are cohort studies. While 80% showed that safe nursing practice interventions for the prevention of adverse events in hospitalized children are effective. Conclusion: Of the 10 systematically reviewed articles (8/10) it was found that safe nursing practice interventions for the prevention of adverse events in hospitalized children are effective and in (2/10) no significant effectiveness was found.Ítem Acceso abierto Efficacy of non-pharmacological interventions in reducing pain in pediatric patients undergoing painful procedures such as immunizations and venipuncture(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-11-04) Huamán Camacho, María Josefina; Mancilla Palomino, Angélica; Millones Gómez, Segundo GermánObjective: Systematize the existing evidence on the effectiveness of non-pharmacological interventions in reducing pain in pediatric patients undergoing painful procedures such as immunizations and venipuncture. Materials and methods: Observational, prospective systematic review of the literature. A search for full-text articles was conducted. Ten scientific articles were selected from Dialnet, Scielo, Pubmed, Lilacs, Cochrane, Medline Plus, Cuidatge, and Google Scholar. 60% (n=6/10) were systematic reviews, 30% (n=3/10) were controlled clinical trials, and 10% (n=1/10) were meta-analyses, corresponding to the period from 2008 to 2018. Results: Of the ten studies investigated, 80% (n=8/10) of the articles indicated that non-pharmacological measures are effective in reducing pain in pediatric patients who underwent painful procedures such as venipuncture and immunizations. Only 20% (n=2/10) found no significant evidence regarding this benefit. Conclusions: Significant effectiveness is evidenced in 8 of 10 articles regarding non-pharmacological interventions in reducing pain in pediatric patients undergoing painful procedures such as immunizations and venipuncture. Materials and Methods: It is a systematic review design, with a population of 60 articles and a sample of 10 published articles: 10% from Spain, 10% from Mexico, 20% from Iran, 10% from Venezuela, 20% from the United States, 10% Italy, 10% Taiwan, 10% Canada. In the designs we have 10% descriptive, 40% transversal, 30% case control, and 20% clinical trial; in a database: Scielo, Pubmade, Medline, Lilacs, for review the GRADE method is used which evaluates the quality of evidence and strength of recommendation. Results: 80% demonstrate that it is effective, strengthening the emotional bond and the development of the newborn. 20% is not effective, it is related to the lack of communication between health personnel and parents and also their stress factor. Conclusions: Parental participation is effective because it strengthens the emotional bond, growth and development of the premature baby, with health personnel playing an important role in providing confidence and security during the training of parents to care for the baby. Premature newborns have immaturity of organs, devices and systems, so their adaptive power is inadequate; the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit facilities do not provide them with adequate extrauterine stimulation, subjecting them to stressful environments. The research arises from the interest in knowing the relationship that may exist between pain and neonatal stress in premature babies hospitalized in the Neonatology Unit of the National Maternal Perinatal Institute - Lima 2022, the objective is to determine what the relationship is between pain and neonatal stress in premature babies. hospitalized in the neonatology service. The research approach will be quantitative, the type of applied research, with a cross-sectional correlational non-experimental design. The study population will be 540 neonates hospitalized in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). For data collection, the survey will be used as a technique and as an instrument the pain measurement scale called “Pain Profile in Premature Infants (PIPP), and a Checklist of Indicators and Signs of Stress in the Premature Neonate. Material and method: The study was quantitative, descriptive and cross-sectional. The sample was 80 parents of hospitalized preschoolers. A survey on parental participation was used, which were tabulated and statistically analyzed. The results: When applying the instrument it was found that the majority are female with 85%, with ages from 31 to 40 years 67.5%, in civil status 50% cohabiting, with a degree of professional education 50% and with two children under their care 42.5%. Regarding the participation of parents in the care of the hospitalized preschooler, it is good 71.3%, average 23.8% and poor 5%. According to physical dimensions it is good 67.5%, fair 25% and poor 7.5% and according to emotional dimensions it is good 73.8%, fair 20%, poor 6.3% Likewise, according to indicators of parental participation in the care of the preschooler, 88.8% is good and corresponds (I pet my son when I am with him), 53.8% is regular and corresponds (I wash my hand before entering my child's unit), 11.3% are deficient in reciprocating (my presence provides emotional security for my child). Material and methods: The research is quantitative, descriptive and cross-sectional. It will be carried out with the population made up of 300 relatives of patients from the Pediatrics service of a Hospital in Lima in 2020, delimiting 58 caregivers with the sampling formula. To collect data, the survey technique will be applied, and as an instrument the questionnaire adapted and validated by the researcher Vilcas (13) in her study in 2018 will be used. This questionnaire is self-applicable, lasting approximately 10- 15 minutes; Consisting of 25 questions, with 3 response alternatives measured on a Likert scale: Always (3) points, Sometimes (2) points and Never (1) point, where the quality of nursing care perceived by the family member accompanying the patient is evaluated. hospitalized child with respect to its 3 dimensions: technical-scientific dimension, human dimension and environment. The measurement results being: high (61-75 points), medium (43-60 points) and low (25-42 points). For the collection of information, institutional authorization will be coordinated, proceeding to carry it out, with prior informed consent.
