Ítem Acceso abierto Parenting styles and aggressiveness in fourth and fifth grade schoolchildren in a state school in the district of San Luis, Lima, 2020.(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-04-16) Castañeda Ospina, Sandra Cristina; Candela Ayllón, Victor EduardoTo determine the relationship between parenting styles and aggression in fourth and fifth-grade primary school students, this study was carried out in a public school in the San Luis district of Lima in 2020. The method used was hypothetical-deductive, with a quantitative approach and a descriptive, correlational, and explanatory type of study, using a non-experimental, cross-sectional design. 174 students of both sexes, aged 11 to 12, participated. The Aggression Questionnaire (AQ) by Buss and Perry and the Parenting Styles Scale by Steinberg, adapted for the Peruvian context, were used as instruments. The main results showed a significant relationship between parenting styles and aggression, with higher aggression found in the neglectful style and lower aggression in the authoritative style. Additionally, the predominant style among the sample was authoritative, and it was found that the greater the commitment, behavioral control, and psychological autonomy perceived by the students from their parents, the lower the aggression levels.Ítem Acceso abierto Parenting styles and emotional intelligence in adolescents from a public educational institution in the district of Comas, 2021.(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-05-10) Reyes Guerrero, Ayrton; Tamayo Toro, Mónica AlexandraThe primary goal of this research was to identify the association between authoritarian, democratic, mixed, permissive, and neglectful parenting styles and emotional intelligence in adolescents at a public school in the Comas district, 2021.
