Ítem Acceso abierto Dentin sensitivity and gingival recession in patients treated at the Stomatological Clinic of the Alas Peruanas University, Arequipa-Peru 2019.(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-07-17) Callo Huarachi, Briyith Anyela; Aguirre Morales, Anita KoriThe present study employed a non-experimental, cross-sectional, and prospective observational design. The sample consisted of 109 teeth from 56 patients treated at the stomatological clinic. Data were collected using a data collection sheet for both gingival recession and dentin sensitivity. Type 1 recessions did not show tactile or thermal dentin sensitivity, similar to type 2 recession in the tactile test. However, type 2 recession in the thermal test exhibited mild dentin sensitivity, while type 3 recessions showed moderate sensitivity in both tests. According to the statistical analysis applied, a significant relationship was found between these two variables (P = 0.000). It is concluded that the greater the gingival recession, the more significantly thermal and tactile sensitivity increase.
