Publicación Acceso abierto Detección precoz de la hipertensión arterial en la farmacia comunitaria(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2017-12-12) Jara Rodriguez, Juan Carlos; Torres Veliz, Ernesto RaúlThe main objective of the present work and literature review is based on the detection of hidden hypertension and the subsequent follow-up of patients under active treatment for arterial hypertension. A total of 25 articles from tertiary sources were reviewed, focusing on the early detection of arterial hypertension in the community pharmacy setting. The analysis included aspects such as the updated definition, clinical importance, basic procedures, national and international regulations, and information regarding the academic preparation of pharmacists in the context of community pharmacy. The results related to early detection in community pharmacies indicate that studies and prevention manuals on arterial hypertension have been more developed and implemented at the international level. In contrast, at the national level, there is a lack of updated studies and related work on prevention and early detection in community pharmacy settings. The conclusions from the reviewed studies on early detection will facilitate better follow-up in prevention and procedures, providing more effective management of relevant information for the professional pharmacist.
