Ítem Acceso abierto Humanized nursing care and anxiety level in patients undergoing colonoscopy procedures in a clinic in Lima, 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-12-14) Palomino Vega, Katherine Brigith; Fuentes Siles, María AngélicaThe objective of this study was to determine the relationship between caregivers and the level of anxiety of patients undergoing colonoscopy procedures in a clinic in Lima, Lima, 2022. The study was developed under the hypothetical-deductive methodology, quantitative approach, non-experimental design, cross-sectional and correlational level. The population consisted of patients undergoing colonoscopy procedures in a clinic in Lima, the sample was 125 patients. Two instruments were applied, the questionnaire "Perception of humanized nursing care behaviors PCHE 3rd version" and the questionnaire "The Zung Scale". The general results showed that 33.6% of the patients perceived humanized care as good, 50.4% as regular and 16.0% as bad; the level of anxiety in 19.2% of the patients was moderate to severe, 45.6% registered minimal to moderate anxiety and 35.2% of the patients did not register any anxiety. The study concluded that the variables humanized care and anxiety level present a negative correlation (Rho Spearman=-0.328), which means that a good level of humanized care inhibits anxiety patients undergoing colonoscopy procedures; also, a significant correlation was found between the qualities of doing nursing dimension (Rho Spearman=-0.267), the openness to nurse-patient communication dimension (Rho Spearman=-0.232), the willingness to care dimension (Rho Spearman=-0.284), and the level of anxiety (Rho Spearman=-0.284).
