Métodos: Se aplicará el método hipotético – deductivo, cuantitativo, será una investigación de tipo aplicada, no experimental, correlacional y de corte transversal, se contará con una población de 100 pacientes portadores de colostoma. Para recopilar la información se aplicará la técnica de encuesta y los instrumentos a utilizar será dos cuestionarios: Cuestionario de afrontamiento para pacientes oncológicos (CAEPO) compuesto por 40 preguntas con respuesta de tipo Likert y calidad de vida de pacientes con ostoma (STOMA QoL) compuesto por 20 preguntas con respuestas tipo Likert, ambos instrumentos validados, para la aplicación de los instrumentos se pedirá autorización de Jefa de enfermeras de la unidad, , así mismo los participantes firmaran el consentimiento informado. Materials and methods; This study adopts deductive and observational research methods. The population will be made up of all patients hospitalized in the surgery service with a diagnosis of colostomy during the months of March to May 2022, a total of 50 patients, from the surgery service of the aforementioned hospital. The variables will be measured by a questionnaire framed 10 questions with alternatives where only one is correct, and for the practical variable the questionnaire consists of 19 questions with YES and NO answers. The data processing plans will be entered into the Microsoft Excel program, they will be analyzed using IBM, to later graph tables and graphs. Methodology: The present research employs a quantitative approach, using a cross-sectional design to examine correlations between variables. The sampling method used in this study will be non-probabilistic and by convenience. The research will cover a sample of 90 parents or guardians who used the surgery service during the period November 2023 to January 2024. The data collection process will use a survey methodology, employing two instruments, the first consisting of 15 questions that measures the "level of knowledge about care" and the second has 28 questions and measures "parental practice". This being the impetus for carrying out this research project whose objective was to determine the mother's level of knowledge about colostomy care in pediatric patients treated at a hospital in Lima. The study is descriptive, with a quantitative approach and a cross-sectional design, the population will be 25 mothers of children with colostomies, this being the annual average of hospitalized minors with colostomies. Data collection will be carried out through a survey; with a questionnaire by Erika Amado Valenzuela, it includes 15 questions with multiple response options, whose value: correct of 1.5 and incorrect of 0. La generación de evidencia local permitirá adaptar las intervenciones a las necesidades específicas de la población peruana. Además, es necesario desarrollar políticas públicas que garanticen el acceso equitativo a suministros, servicios especializados y educación en ostomías. Objetivo: “Determinar la relación existente entre el conocimiento y la practica sobre su autocuidado en pacientes con ostomías en el servicio de cirugía general del Hospital Hipólito Unanue, Lima– 2024”. Metodología: se empleará el método hipotético deductivo, el enfoque es cuantitativo de tipo aplicada y con un diseño no experimental de corte transeccional, la población y muestra censal que se empleará en esta iniciativa de estudio será de 150 pacientes ostomizados que se atienden en el área de cirugía del Hospital Nacional Hipólito Unanue. La técnica que se empleará es la encuesta la cual consta de dos herramientas, la primera valorará el nivel de conocimiento y la segunda la actitud práctica de los pacientes ostomizados; estas herramientas fueron validados mediante juicio de expertos logrando como producto una concordancia de 0.98 la otra consiguió una concordancia de 0.87, admitiendo la validez; para la confiabilidad de los cuestionarios se utilizó el KR-20 siendo de 0.90 para el primero y de 0.98 para el segundo, ratificando la fiabilidad de ambas herramientas.
