Ítem Acceso abierto Comparative study of maternal and perinatal benefits during labor in patients who attended and did not attend the obstetric psychoprophylaxis program at Hospital Nacional Hipólito Unanue, July-December, Lima, 2017(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-02-12) Yauris Ocrospoma, Carol Reyna; Saavedra Espinoza, Wendy Yesenia; Marín Guevara, Leticia GloriaOBJECTIVE: Compare the maternal and perinatal benefits during labor of patients who attended and did not attend the Obstetric Psychoprophylaxis program of the Hipólito Unanue National Hospital, July-December, Lima, 2017. METHODOLOGY: Descriptive, comparative, retrospective and cross-sectional study. RESULTS: 100% of patients with Obstetric Psychoprophylaxis (OPP) had >6 controls, while 53% of patients without OPP had <6 controls; 83% and 43% of patients with PPO and without PPO respectively had a gestational age of 39 weeks; The frequency of contractions was 3 contractions in 10 minutes with 97% in patients with PPO, the duration of the dilation period was 8 -14 hours with 97% in patients with PPO, however 43% of patients without PPO had a duration of >15 hours, the duration of the expulsive period was 15 - 30 minutes with 97% in patients with PPO, however 50% of patients without PPO lasted > 30 minutes. CONCLUSION: There are maternal and perinatal benefits in patients who received Obstetric Psychoprophylaxis in relation to patients who did not receive preparation.
