    Identificación de errores de prescripción en recetas médicas del grupo de benzodiacepinas dispensados en botica “Gloria” San Borja, periodo mayo–diciembre 2015

    This research is a descriptive, observational, and prospective study. The guide from the Manual of Good Prescribing Practices, issued by the General Directorate of Medicines, Supplies, and Drugs (DIGEMID), was used as a reference. In the study, 1,470 (100%) medical prescriptions were reviewed, and 1,256 (85.44%) were found to have prescribing errors. The study determined that 102 (8.12%) prescriptions had errors in the omission of the prescriber's name, professional registration number, phone number, and address. Additionally, 6.45% were illegible, 9.24% had incomplete patient data, 9.63% did not use the International Nonproprietary Name (INN), 4.70% omitted the concentration, 10.91% lacked the pharmaceutical form, 13.37% lacked the dose and prescribed quantities, 18.15% did not indicate the route of administration, 3.74% lacked the professional doctor's signature and stamp, and 15.68% were missing the date of issue. In conclusion, when pharmacists observe that medical prescriptions do not comply with good prescribing practice standards, they must ask patients to have the doctor correct the errors and omissions, as the prescriptions cannot be filled if they are not correctly written.
