Ítem Acceso abierto Lifestyle and nutritional status in people residing in the Jorge Chavez locality in San Luis, Lima -2021(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-04-29) Ccarhuas Rivera, Evelyn Irene; Cárdenas de Fernández, María HildaObjective: To determine the relationship between lifestyle and nutritional status in people living in the Jorge Chávez locality in San Luis, Lima - 2021. Material and Methods: The approach was quantitative, with a correlational-cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 137 adult participants. The data collection technique used was a survey, and the instruments employed were the lifestyle questionnaire (Fantastico) with 10 dimensions (family and friends, physical activity, nutrition, tobacco toxins, alcohol, sleep stress, personality type, introspection, health control, and sexuality), and the measurement of nutritional status using the Body Mass Index (BMI) (weight/height²). Results: Regarding the general hypothesis, it was observed that there is a significant relationship between lifestyle and nutritional status (p < 0.05). According to the specific hypotheses, it was observed that there is no relationship between the lifestyle variable in the family and friends dimension and nutritional status (p > 0.05). In contrast, the other dimensions showed significant relationships (p < 0.05).Conclusions: According to the general hypothesis, there is a relationship between the main variables, lifestyle and nutritional status. According to the first specific hypothesis, there is no relationship between the lifestyle variable in the family and friends dimension and nutritional status. Finally, unlike the other specific hypotheses based on their dimensions, significant relationships were found.
