Publicación Acceso abierto Diseño y formulación de una línea dermocosmética a base del aceite de Sacha Inchi “Plukenetia volubilis Linneo” para su aplicación antioxidante para el cuidado del cabello y la piel(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-08-28) Camacho Caycho, Fanny Isabel; Chamorro Contreras, Ruby Evelyn; Cano Pérez, Carlos AlfredoPeru is a megadiverse country due to its vast and rich variety of fauna and flora, among which medicinal plants stand out. The latter have been increasingly utilized by the cosmetic industry, giving rise to so-called ecological cosmetics, produced from plants with healing properties such as sacha inchi and uña de gato, among others. The objective of the present study was to design and formulate a dermocosmetic line based on the oil of Plukenetia volubilis L. for application in skin and hair care, given its antioxidant capacity. The dermocosmetic line included shampoo, body cream, and sunscreen, which were developed under safe conditions, resulting in products that remained stable over time. Stability was demonstrated through quality control assessments involving organoleptic, physicochemical, and microbiological analyses. Antioxidant activity was determined using the DPPH (2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl) method, showing that the shampoo had an IC50 of 3.777 mg/mL and a TEAC of 14.909/g, the body cream had an IC50 of 1.420 mg/mL and a TEAC of 16.770/g, and the sunscreen had an IC50 of 1.120 mg/mL and a TEAC of 29.868/g. It is concluded that the dermocosmetic line developed at pilot scale with Plukenetia volubilis L. oil meets the required characteristics.Publicación Acceso abierto Evaluación de la irritabilidad ocular in vitro mediante el método HET-CAM en cremas para contorno de ojos con y sin registro sanitario que se comercializan en el distrito de La Victoria, La Parada – Lima(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-06-04) Celestino Ramirez, Fiorela Victoria; Llacsa Quispe, Luz Marina; Lizano Gutiérrez, Jesús VíctorThis research provides scientific data on the qualitative HET-CAM and quantitative HET-CAM (CAM-TBS) methods for evaluating eye contour cosmetic creams with and without sanitary registration. The objective is to compare the level of irritability of eye contour creams with and without sanitary registration from different brands. A total of 30 creams with sanitary registration and 30 creams without sanitary registration were analyzed. These creams were acquired in the La Victoria district (Parada), due to demand from beauty and personal hygiene product distributors. The analyses were performed in the laboratory of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry at Norbert Wiener University (UNW). Methodology is based on Protocol No. 108 of the in vitro techniques in Toxicology (INVITTOX), which consists of studying the reaction of assay variants on the chorioallantoic membrane of the hen's egg for the evaluation of ocular irritation. Results: The potential irritation results for ten eye contour cream formulations indicate that creams without sanitary registration are highly irritating to the eyes, posing an 80% risk for the people who use them, while creams with sanitary registration have low irritability and represent a 10% risk.Publicación Acceso abierto Identificación de formaldehído en productos cosméticos para laceado expendidos en el mercado central “FEVACEL” del distrito de Independencia, julio 2018(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-05-15) Trinidad Luis, Pilar; Torre Enrique, Maricruz Mayyumy; Ramos Jaco, Antonio GuillermoThe objective of this research was to "determine the concentration of formaldehyde in cosmetic hair straightening products sold at the 'FEVACEL' Central Market in the Independencia District in July 2018." The methodology used was a basic research type, with a quantitative approach, a quasi-experimental design, and a descriptive and prospective level. The population consisted of branded cosmetic hair straightening products sold at the 'FEVACEL' Central Market. The sample included 25 cosmetic hair straightening products, with 5 samples taken from each brand. Results indicate that the analyzed cosmetic straightening products tested positive in the qualitative formaldehyde test, with values ranging from 155 ppm to 221.6 ppm, and an average formaldehyde concentration of 184.26 ppm. It is concluded that the formaldehyde concentrations in Keratimask Kativa and Wellastrate cosmetic straightening products are within the permitted limits. However, the Lanostrate and Biokeratin brands exceed the maximum permissible value of 0.2% (2,000 ppm), with concentrations of 221.6 ppm and 210.5 ppm, respectively.
