Adverse events derived from nursing care: pressure injury, falls, phlebitis and blood transfusion at the Dos de Mayo National Hospital, period January – December 2018

Objective: Determine the frequency of adverse events derived from nursing care: pressure injury, falls, phlebitis and blood transfusion at the Dos de Mayo National Hospital period January - December 2018. Material and method: Descriptive, cross-sectional, retrospective study. in 127 patients registered in the database of the Dos de Mayo National Hospital in the period January - December 2018. The MINSA technical standard that evaluates adverse events was used, which records the severity of the injury according to degrees. registered in the hospital secondary database. The severity of adverse events (no harm, irreversible damage, disability, and death), adverse events (pressure injuries, falls, phlebitis, and blood transfusion), and demographic data such as age and sex were considered. Results: Of the total, a high proportion of pressure injuries was determined with 73 reports (57.5%), followed by phlebitis with 26 reports (20.5%), and falls with 25 reports (19.7%). 55.9% were women, 78.7% (100 cases) had follow-up by the staff, and 71.7% (91 cases) presented no damage, of which 56 (44%) corresponded to pressure injuries and 11.8% (15) corresponded to falls. Conclusions: Pressure injuries were determined, followed by phlebitis and falls as the most frequent adverse events derived from nursing care at the Dos de Mayo National Hospital during the period January - December 2018.

Critical Review: Effectiveness in delaying admission of renal replacement therapy through low-protein diet follow-up and alpha-ketoanalog supplementation in adult patients with kidney disease.

A low-protein diet appears to play a fundamental role in the progression of chronic kidney disease and the anticipation of uremic symptoms; Supplementation of essential amino acids apparently gives us confidence in meeting dangerous protein restrictions. An instantly organized bibliographic search of secondary sources was developed, where the answers to our question with a PICO structure designed a priori were extracted from our selection of systematic reviews and meta-analyses10 systematic bibliographic reviews were included, with a moderate quality evaluation, the subtraction of the information gives us an apparent benefit of the very low protein diet with supplementation of alpha-ketoanalogues by delaying entry into renal replacement therapy or kidney transplant and a conscious decrease in the progression of the disease. If the quality of evidence is high, the very low protein diet, supplemented with alpha-ketoanalogue, in the correctly selected patient, appears to reduce the intake of renal replacement therapy and in decreasing the deterioration of the glomerular filtration rate, it is recommended strict regular monitoring, with monitoring of anthropometric and body measurements, as well as the risk of malnutrition.

Effectiveness of educational nursing interventions for the prevention and control of bullying

Objective: Systematize the evidence about the effectiveness of nursing educational interventions for the prevention and control of bullying. Material and methods: Systematic review that synthesizes the results of multiple investigations, identifying the most relevant to answer specific questions of daily practice. The search was restricted to articles with full text subjected to critical reading, using the GRADE system to assign the strength of recommendation. Results: In the final selection, 10 articles were chosen, finding according to the results obtained from the systematic review carried out in the present study, shown in the 10 articles systematically reviewed, 70% (n=7/10) are quasi-experimental and the 30% (n=3/10) are systematic reviews. These studies come from the countries of Brazil (40%), Portugal (20%), Spain (10%), Norway, Scotland and the USA (10%), Colombia (10%), Costa Rica (10%). Conclusions: nursing educational interventions have generated positive effects in prevention, showing that the participation of the nurse is essential, also for the detection and monitoring of cases of bullying.

Effectiveness of fiber intake to prevent colorectal cancer in adults

Objective: Systematize the evidence about the effectiveness of fiber intake to prevent colorectal cancer in adults. Materials and Methods: It is a Systematic Review that structures the products of various investigations, recognizing the most salient to answer specific questions of daily work. The follow-up was directed to articles with full text submitted to a critical reading, the recommendation will be made using the GRADE system. Results: According to the results obtained from the systematic review carried out on ten scientific articles in the present study, these come from China (40%), followed by the United Kingdom (30%), Italy (10%), Malaysia (10%), Sweden (10%). of the articles are systematic reviews, followed by 40% (4) meta-analysis, randomized clinical trial 10% (1), cohort 10% (1) cases and controls 10% (1). Of the total of 10 articles reviewed, 100% (n=10) recommended fiber intake to prevent colorectal cancer in adults. Conclusions: of the total of 10 articles reviewed, 100% evidence the effectiveness of fiber intake to prevent colorectal cancer in adults.

Effectiveness of the follow-up and evaluation program of play therapy in improving social behaviors in children with autism spectrum disorder

Objective: To systematize the evidence on the effectiveness of the follow-up and evaluation program of play therapy to improve social behaviors in children with autism spectrum disorders. Methodology: The systematic review of the 10 scientific articles found on the effectiveness of play therapy to improve social behaviors in children with autism spectrum disorders was conducted using the PubMed database. All of them were analyzed according to the GRADE scale to determine their strength and quality of evidence. Results: Of the 10 articles reviewed, 70% (7/10) are clinical trial designs, and 30% (3/10) are quasi-experimental. 100% of the articles demonstrate the effectiveness of play therapy in improving social behaviors in children with autism spectrum disorders. Conclusion: Of the 10 articles reviewed, 100% (10/10) demonstrate the effectiveness of play therapy in improving social behaviors in children with autism spectrum disorders.

Level of knowledge and adherence to the administration of multimicronutrients in mothers of children aged 6 to 36 months who attend the Mirones Alto health center, Lima, 2020

Objective: to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and adherence to the administration of multimicronutrients in mothers of children aged 6 to 36 months who attend C Mirones Alto, Lima 2020. Materials and methods: the approach was quantitative, cross-sectional design -correlational. The sample was made up of 82 mothers. The instruments used were a questionnaire and observation of the children's multimicronutrient consumption monitoring pattern. Results: the average age of the mothers was 24.61 years (SD +/- 5.038), with a minimum age of 17 years and a maximum of 45 years. The average age of their children in months was 19.96 (SD + 5.962), with the minimum and maximum age being 32 months. Regarding the level of education of the mothers, the majority 62% (n=51) had completed secondary school, followed by 13.4% (n=11) technical college, 13.4% (N=11) university college and 11% (n=9) completed primary school. The level of knowledge about MNN of the mothers, 32.9% (n=27) know and 67.1% (n=55) do not know. The level of adherence to the administration and MNN of the mothers, it is observed that 43% (n=36) are adherent and 56.1% (n=46) are non-adherent. There is a significant relationship between the level of knowledge and adherence to the administration of multimicronutrients in mothers of children aged 6 to 36 months who attend the Mirones Alto Health Center, Lima - 2020, with a margin of error of 5% ( p < 0.05). Conclusions: there is a significant relationship between the level of knowledge and adherence to the administration of multimicronutrients in mothers of children aged 6 to 36 months who attend the Mirones Alto Health Center, Lima - 2020.

Mothers' level of knowledge about newborn care after discharge from the neonatal intensive care unit of a private clinic Lima Peru 2020

Aim. It will determine the level of knowledge of mothers about newborn care after discharge from the neonatal intensive care service. Materials and methods. This research will have a quantitative approach, the type of research we have is applied, the scope is and the design is non-experimental and transectional. The population will be comprised of 58 mothers of neonates who were hospitalized in the NICU service. Mothers will be selected according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The data collection technique that will be used will be the survey and the instrument will be the Festival questionnaire. To collect the data, mothers will be recruited before the discharge of their newborns from the NICU service. In addition, an educational session will be held where a good number of participants will be recruited. Finally, the data will be incorporated into a matrix in the SPSS 24.0 statistical software.
