Ítem Acceso abierto Nursing care during enteral nutrition via gastrostomy tube to reduce complications in elderly patients(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-11-17) Almeyda Navarro, Silene Isabel; Chávez Salinas, Liliana Esther; Gamarra Bustillos, CarlosObjective: Systematize nursing care during gastrostomy tube nutrition to reduce complications in the elderly. Materials and methods: It is a systematic review based on scientific articles used in disciplines in the health area of descriptive, retrospective and systematic description, the population was made up of 20 articles of which 10 articles were chosen, with no older age ten years: Scielo, Pubmed, Elsevier Spanish Journal of Geriatrics and Gerontology. Result: Studies indicate that gastrostomy tubes are effective and provide unique, temporary, fast and safe access. Within 10 pieces of evidence, 100% (n = 10/10) of these studies are from Spain, which represent 40% (40/10), Colombia represents 20% (20/10), Paraguay, Brazil, Germany and Cuba represent 10%. (10/10), Within the 10 scientific articles, we can see that the descriptive retrospective with 50% (5/10), Prospective with 20% (2/10), Systematic review with 20% (2/10) and prospective observation with 10% (1/10). Conclusions: Enteral feeding by gastrostomy tube in the advanced phase is still a common intervention, and there is no evidence that tube feeding improves nutritional status, prevents malnutrition or its consequences.Ítem Acceso abierto Nursing care in the prevention of phlebitis in patients with peripheral venous catheters.(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-03-25) Rosales Gavidia, Li Roxana; Gamarra Bustillos, CarlosObjective: To systematize evidence on nursing care in the prevention of phlebitis in patients with peripheral venous catheters (PVC). Methodology: A systematic review of 10 scientific articles on the prevention of phlebitis in patients with PVC was conducted. The studies were retrieved from databases such as Scielo and Medline PubMed and included designs such as systematic reviews, quantitative studies, and meta-analyses. Results: The findings indicate that 100% (10/10) of the reviewed articles demonstrate that nursing care in patients with PVC effectively prevents the occurrence of phlebitis. Conclusions: The systematic review of 10 scientific articles highlights the pivotal role of nursing interventions in preventing phlebitis in patients with PVC. Evidence supports: - Changing peripheral lines when clinically indicated. - Preferring larger-caliber veins and avoiding insertion sites with high friction and mobility. - Minimizing prolonged infusions of highly concentrated medications. - Flushing the catheter with 0.09% salÍtem Acceso abierto Nursing care to reduce complications in pediatric oncologic patients with Porth catheter.(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-07-08) Jerí Potocino, Avilio; Avila Vargas Machuca, Jeannette GiselleObjective: To systematically analyze the available evidence from studies on the effectiveness of vitamin A and iron supplementation in the prevention of anemia in children under 5 years of age. Materials and Methods: The systematic review of 10 scientific articles found on the effectiveness of vitamin A and iron supplementation in the prevention of anemia in children under 5 years of age was conducted using the following databases: Cochrane, Lilacs, Scielo, Medline, PubMed. All articles were analyzed according to the grading scale to determine their strength and quality of evidence. Results: 90% (9/10) demonstrate the effectiveness of vitamin A and iron supplementation in preventing anemia in children under 5 years of age, while 10% of the reviewed articles conclude that more studies are needed to demonstrate the effectiveness of vitamin A and iron supplements in preventing anemia in children under 5 years of age. Conclusions: Of the 10 articles systematically reviewed, 9 articles show the effectiveness of vitamin A and iron supplementation in preventing anemia in children under 5 years of age, while 2 articles conclude that larger population studies are needed to demonstrate the effectiveness of vitamin A and iron supplementation in preventing anemia.
