Ítem Acceso abierto Dental malocclusions associated with nutrition in child patients treated at the Norbert Wiener University Dental Center, 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-07-10) Gonzales Cabada, Christian Hugo; Gómez Carrión, Christian EstebanThe objective of this study was to determine dental malocclusions associated with nutrition in pediatric patients treated at the Dental Center of Universidad Norbert Wiener, 2023. A non-experimental, quantitative, applied, and cross-sectional methodology was used, with a sample of 109 pediatric patients treated at the Dental Center of Universidad Norbert Wiener, 2023. The results revealed that 30.3% of the children had Class I malocclusion, with 8.3% of them being obese, 9.2% overweight, 10.1% with normal values, 1.8% with mild acute malnutrition, and 0.9% with moderate malnutrition. However, the statistical analysis showed that the p-value was 0.903, which is higher than the alpha value, thus accepting the null hypothesis (Ho). With a 95% confidence level, it can be concluded that dental malocclusions are not associated with nutrition in pediatric patients treated at the Dental Center of Universidad Norbert Wiener, 2023.
