Ítem Acceso abierto (Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2015) Calvo Sánchez, Alina Rosario; Galvez Ramirez, Carlos MichellLighting is one of the important parameters to consider as either a preventive health measure during dental work, when adequate lighting is present, or as a potential risk factor when inadequate lighting exists in the patient care environment. Therefore, the objective of this study was to evaluate the lighting level of the work environment and the operating field used for dental care in dental offices and clinics in the Independencia district. The study was descriptive, observational, prospective, and cross-sectional. The sample consisted of 52 dental offices and 18 dental clinics. A lux meter was used as the instrument to measure the lighting level of the work environment and the operating field, and the readings were recorded in a data collection form. The results showed that 59.6% of the dental offices and 33.3% of the clinics had inadequate lighting levels in both the work environment and the operating field. Meanwhile, 40.4% of the dental offices and 66.7% of the clinics had adequate lighting levels. It was concluded that dental clinics had a higher level of adequate lighting than dental offices in both the work environment and the operating field.Ítem Acceso abierto Brain styles of thought as a new management tool for the design of positioning strategies in dental offices. Lime - 2021(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-05-06) Bayona Guillermo, Percy Andree; Torres Pariona, David ArturoBrain thinking styles in dentistry involve the study of postulates and tactics that neuro sciences offer to dental marketing. Different advertising stimuli generate very varied responses within the brain, so it would be prudent to review the process from another perspective, for example, using the tools provided by brain dominance study. Therefore, this study aims to describe the contributions of brain thinking styles as a new management tool to design positioning strategies in dental offices in Lima – 2021. This study was a prospective observational design; the sample consisted of 382 users from the district of Huacho – Lima, who were subjected to a brain dominance test, and 10 dentists who voluntarily participated in the study and were given a questionnaire about positioning strategies in their office. Simple descriptive statistics were used for each variable. The results lead to the conclusion that the thinking styles based on brain dominance are as follows: 35.4% of the population has a management style of thinking; 33.9% has a logical-mathematical style; 27.9% is creative-playful; and 17.8% is humanistic. On the other hand, it was determined that the most used positioning strategy by dental offices in the district of Huacho was focused on the product (41.7%), followed by personnel (33.7%), price, and physical environment (8.3%), promotion and health (5.65%), and finally the process (2.8%).Ítem Acceso abierto Patients' perception of the quality of care and overpopulation of dental offices located in the periphery of the Ceres Market, year 2018(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-11-20) Meléndez Torres, Elizabet Liliana; Girano Castaños, Jorge AlbertoThe objective of this research was to determine patients' perception of the quality of care and overcrowding in dental offices located on the outskirts of the Ceres Market, 2018. This study was non-experimental, descriptive, prospective, observational, and cross-sectional, based on data collection through two previously validated questionnaires, applied to eighty patients who were treated in the dental offices located on the outskirts of the Ceres Market. The results determined that there was a "moderate" quality of care (45%), and also a "moderate" overcrowding of dental offices in the vicinity of the Ceres Market. Regarding the dimensions of quality in relation to the perception of overcrowding, the following was determined: There is a lack of reliability in the care (75%), poor response capacity (88.8%), regular empathy (61.3%), moderate tangible aspects (38.75%), and regular safety of care (47.5%). It was concluded that the perception of the quality of care provided to patients and the overcrowding of dental offices located on the outskirts of the Ceres Market was "moderate" in 2018.
