Ítem Acceso abierto Characteristics of pregnant women with perineal tears during childbirth at María Auxiliadora Hospital in 2016(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-03-09) Márquez Loarte, Claudia Ruth; Plasencia Requejo, Maria Cynthia; Salcedo Suárez, Katty LeticiaMaterials and Method: a retrospective, cross-sectional descriptive study was made up of pregnant women who underwent childbirth and consequently presented a perineal tear, which was recorded in the Clinical History, with a total of 108 cases for the year 2016. Results: Average age was 27 years old, 71.3% are in a cohabiting relationship, 55.6% had completed secondary school, 91% have an occupation their home and 71.3% did not present anemia, average gestational age was 38 weeks, average parity is 2 births per pregnant woman, in relation to the intergenic period it was 4 years on average, the average delivery time was 11 minutes, 75.9% did not participate in the psychoprophylaxis sessions, 70.4% did not have an episiotomy at the time of delivery and 73% presented first degree tear, 50.9% were female and 42% of the newborns weighed between 3000 and 3400 gr. Conclusion: First degree tears were found for the obstetric characteristic and most patients did not attend psychoprophylaxis sessions. Patients with perineal tear had newborns weighing 3000 to 3400g.
