Ítem Acceso abierto Factors associated with delays in the diagnosis of pulmonary tuberculosis in symptomatic respiratory patients(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-03-25) Antaurco Espinoza, Carmen Fidela; Javier Delgado, Ysabel Agustina; Rivera Lozada De Bonilla, OrianaObjective: Systematize the evidence of the factors associated with the delay in the Diagnosis of Pulmonary Tuberculosis in Respiratory Symptoms. Methodology: Systematic, observational and retrospective review, the search has been restricted to articles with full text, the selected articles were subjected to a critical reading, using the Grade evaluation to evaluate their quality and strength of evidence. Results: In the final selection, 10 articles were chosen, 30% (3) correspond to Brazil, 20% (2) are from Colombia and Spain, and 10% (1) are from Peru, Cuba and Uruguay. 70% (7) are of a cross-sectional analytical design, 10% (3) are a systematic review, Cohort and Case-Controls. Of the total articles analyzed, 60% (6/10) show us that the delay in the diagnosis of tuberculosis is related to various factors specific to the patient: 10% show a low level of education, 30% a low level of knowledge about Tuberculosis. and 20% due to lack of knowledge of the Tuberculosis program. Conclusions: 6 of 10 articles show that the factors associated with the delay in the Diagnosis of Pulmonary Tuberculosis are due to patient factors and 4 of 10 articles show that they are factors associated with health services.
