    Eficacia analgésica de la interacción entre ketoprofeno con metamizol postquirúrgico en el servicio de hospitalización de cirugía del Hospital “José Agurto Tello” de Chosica durante los meses de marzo–julio del 2019

    The objective was to determine the analgesic efficacy of the interaction between Ketoprofen and Metamizole for postsurgical pain in the surgery hospitalization service of the "José Agurto Tello" Hospital in Chosica from March to July 2019. Method: The study was observational, with an explanatory-analytical level and a clinical trial design. The sample consisted of 57 post-appendectomy patients in the surgery hospitalization service of the hospital. Pain was evaluated using the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS). Results: The interaction between Ketoprofen + Metamizole produced an average score of 2.64 on the VAS, while Metamizole alone scored 3.00. There was no significant difference in the efficacy of the treatments before and after their application (F=0.003 and p=0.957 > 0.05). Conclusion: The interaction between Ketoprofen + Metamizole is not more effective than Metamizole alone at reducing postsurgical pain in patients who underwent surgery at the "José Agurto Tello" Hospital.
